For us locals, the mountain is our home. It offers a lot for our survival, so we get to spend more time appreciating what it has to teach us aside from the view it has to offer🤗

HIKING.CLIMBING.SIGHTSEEING (whatever you may call it)

It will help us build incredible patience, strength and endurance to reach our goal. It never fails to remind us that unhealthy food will not fuel us properly, that water is the best couple of every food we take.

The high altitude also trains us to become stronger, and the struggle becomes less and less every time we go back to hike. Yes, there’s a lot to learn from exercising in nature.

We can see picturesque views and long to get there from time to time.

When we carve out our time and space for this high-altitude mountain, there is nothing more than enjoying those instagrammable views. Unless it’s foggy or rainy, you’re guaranteed to get a breathtaking view that many will never see. You will then feel the urge to return after spending such wonderful time.

Landscape and commercial photographer John Kimwell Laluma captured this breathtaking view of the horizon touching the Milky Way last Friday at around 5 AM.

"One reason I love to photograph the Milky Way during the first quarter of the year is that it rises near sunrise, thus allowing me to capture both the core as well as the glowing horizon," he wrote in the caption.

John said this is a stich of four images as he wanted to show the galactic core in a slightly curved manner. He used computer software for post processing. (Photo/John Kimwell Laluma)
