The last day of training in Food and Beverage Services gave a remarkable experience and education as the participants completed the 3-day training that boosted their knowledge and skills to have a quality of service that may help their business to fulfill their vision in the tourism industry.

The training highlights are Customer Service Excellence in Food and Beverage, Operational Procedures for Food and Beverage Service, up selling Techniques, Wine and Beverage Knowledge, Handling Special Request and Dietary Restrictions, On-the-Job Application, Feedback and Improvement Plans, and Career Development Opportunities.

The tourism industry truly had a wide scope and opportunities for us to explore. Our satisfaction not only focuses on what we see but also on what we experience. Education and exploration never stop and bridge us for a wider knowledge that we will use to achieve our vision.

Our warmest gratitude to the DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM REGION 02, for choosing the Province of Quirino in conducting interesting training that will help the development of Quirino's tourism operation and industry, as well as Dr. SANTOS BUENVENIDA for sharing your knowledge of expertise and skills that will help businesses and individuals to have a quality of service that Quirino Province will offer to tourists and its community.

Day 2 || Food and Beverage Services Training

The second day of the 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 at the LDRRMO Function Hall in Maddela, Quirino, is in full swing! Participants are enthusiastically engaging in hands-on activities and learning advanced techniques to refine their skills and enhance the overall dining experience.

𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐚 delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of proper posture and professional demeanor in food and beverage service. He demonstrated correct sitting and standing postures, emphasizing how these contribute to a polished and approachable presence. Dr. Buenavenida also highlighted the significance of maintaining eye contact, explaining how it fosters trust and connection with customers, making them feel valued and respected. He stated that eye contact is an important ingredient of sincerity, underscoring its role in building genuine customer relationships. These essential skills are critical for creating a positive and memorable dining experience.

This initiative is a significant step toward empowering our local workforce, boosting employment opportunities, and elevating Maddela as a premier tourist destination. By investing in the skills and talents of our community, we’re not just building a better future but also showcasing the warm hospitality and vibrant culture of our town.

The event was honored by the presence of 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐑𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐂. 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨, who warmly welcomed everyone with his inspiring Welcome Remarks, and 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐫. 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐆. - Age must be 18 years old and above;
- He/She/They must be employed or engaged in food and beverage industry in the Province of Quirino; and
- He/She/They must be committed in completing the three-day training to receive a Certificate of Participation.

PASKUHAN SA MADDELA DAY 4

The fourth day of "Paskuhan sa Maddela" brought another evening of joy and celebration on December 11, as the municipality continued its celebration with exciting activities and community participation.

Councilor Jamina Anne O. Tolentino was the Cluster In-Charge for the evening activity, with the assistance from the Cluster Point Person, Barangay Captain Rogelio Tuppil.

San Bernabe, Villa Norte, Villa Sur, and Poblacion Norte were the four participating barangays on Cluster 5 who showcased captivating presentations that delighted the audience and added to the festive atmosphere.

One of the evening’s highlights was the raffle draw with exciting prizes.

Commendation is given to the Municipal Local Government Unit through the Maddela Culture and the Arts Office for their exceptional efforts as the main organizers of the 10-day Paskuhan of the Municipality.

Said event will run until December 16.

PASKUHAN SA MADDELA DAY 3

The Municipality of Maddela successfully celebrated the third day of its annual "Paskuhan sa Maddela" on December 9, continuing the festive spirit and camaraderie among Maddelanians.

The evening’s activities were organized by Cluster 2 In-Charge Councilor Orlando L. Salvador, Jr. and Cluster Point Person Barangay Captain Emilio Quidpoan, Jr. duly represented by Brgy. Councilor Louisa Eresa.

Four barangays — Diduyon, Dumabato Norte, Dumabato Sur, Buenavista, took center stage, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm through vibrant performances that delighted the audience.

Commendation is given to the Municipal Local Government Unit through the Maddela Culture and the Arts Office for their exceptional efforts as the main organizers of the 10-day Paskuhan of the Municipality.

With more exciting programs lined up, "Paskuhan sa Maddela" continues to spread joy and strengthen the bonds within the community as the holiday season unfolds.

The second day of the much-anticipated 2024 Paskuhan sa Maddela was held on December 8 at Grace Park, Maddela, Quirino.

The program was spearheaded by Cluster In-Charge Councilor Carlos C. Naboye, Sr. with the guidance of Cluster Point Person Barangay Captain Jaime Cortez.

Highlighting the evening’s success was the active participation of four barangays under Cluster 6 —Sto. Niño, Manglad, Poblacion Sur, Lusod, who delivered outstanding performances and showcased their creativity in the spirit of Christmas.

The 2024 Paskuhan sa Maddela officially kicked off on December 7, 2024, attended by LGU employees and Municipal Officials through the leadership of Mayor Rimel C. Tolentino, joined by residents of different barangays, held at Grace Park, Maddela, Quirino.

The celebration, aimed at fostering unity, promoting local culture, and spreading holiday cheer among Maddelanians and visitors alike.

In his message, Mayor Tolentino expressed his gratitude to everyone who made the event possible, from the hardworking LGU staff to the sponsors from business sector. He also emphasized two points during the holiday season: “𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐢 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢-𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭. 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐢 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚. Moreover, one of the highlights of the opening program was the dance presentations performed by the Local Government Unit (LGU) employees, anchored with lively modern and Christmas music, in their respective clusters. The spirited performances captivated the audience, reflecting the dedication and enthusiasm of the LGU workers who brought their unique energy to the celebration. Also, chiefs of offices and representatives from the business sector were requested to render a surprise number.

In addition, attendees enjoyed a variety of sumptuous foods sold along Magsaysay Street while being amused with the different Christmas lights decors.

The Paskuhan sa Maddela is in pursuant to Municipal Ordinance No. 05, series of 2019 entitled: “Institutionalizing the celebration of Paskuhan sa Maddela, Quirino and for other purposes,” sponsored by former Councilor Atty. Junard N. Ramos. The economic activity will conclude on December 16.

The Paskuhan sa Maddela 2024 was finally opened to the public last December 7, 2024 at Maddela People's Park, spearheaded by the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Mrs. Kathrina Cardenas. The program's highlight was the lighting of the giant Christmas tree which symbolizes hope, love, humility, and forgiveness that embodies the true essence of Christmas.
