The Indigenous Peoples’ Mandatory Representative Office, in collaboration with the Office of the Municipal Mayor thru the Maddela Tourism, Culture & the Arts Office, successfully hosted this year’s Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on October 30, 2024, at the Maddela Municipal Gymnasium. With the theme: “Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan, at Parangalan”, the event highlighted the rich heritage, culture, and wisdom of our indigenous communities. 💫

We were honored to have Hon. Roy Aron Saladino as our guest speaker, whose inspiring words reminded us of the importance of preserving and honoring indigenous knowledge and traditions. 🙏

A big thank you to Hon. Melanie Batara and Hon. Linda Dacmay for their attendance and to all our sponsors who made this meaningful event possible. Your support plays a crucial role in recognizing and celebrating our indigenous heritage! 🎉

LOOK || In celebration of Tourism Month, the Provincial Tourism Office, in coordination with the Maddela Tourism Office, successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive at Governor's Rapids and Ngilinan River on September 21, 2024.

Together, we are making a difference, preserving the beauty of our natural attractions, and promoting sustainable tourism for future generations. Let’s continue to care for our environment and keep our destinations clean!

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸!🧡

Today, September 21, the Provincial Tourism Office, in collaboration with the Municipal Tourism Office of Maddela and the Governor’s Rapids team, successfully conducted a Clean-Up Drive activity at Governor’s Rapids and Ngilinan River.

The team also had the opportunity to try dendelot, a Cagayan Valley specialty made from glutinous rice flour, steamed in a banana leaf wrap and served with coconut sugar syrup and curdled coconut cream.
