Stress Less: Strategies for Managing Stress Effectively

Today’s Stress Management Workshop was made possible with the initiative of our Internal Communication’s Head, Ms. Dorothy Drysdale, course through to the Health and Wellness Department headed by the Senior Manager for Medical Team, Dra. Daisy E. Tugay.

It drew a varied group of participants keen on learning practical strategies for handling stress in their personal and professional lives. The workshop took place at the MEPI Training Hall in the Marsman Compound, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

The workshop was led by the esteemed resource speaker, Mr. Johnny Rey G. Cañete, a Registered Psychologist by profession. The session was thoughtfully crafted to tackle the complex nature of stress through interactive activities, engaging presentations, and practical exercises. Participants gained effective techniques to manage stress more effectively and face life’s challenges with improved resilience.

Look: MEPI Plants 494 Calumpang Trees for Environment Month🌱

MEPI celebrated Environment Month with a tree planting activity on June 29, 2024, organized by its Environmental Sustainability Department led by Lisepa Palamene O. Telakau, Manager of Environmental Sustainability. The event brought together 105 participants, including MEPI employees, local government officials from MENRO and SK in Brgy. Tibal-og, and support from MEPE-MPC, DAMARB-MPC, and the Security Services Department of MEPI and Multishield Security Services, Inc.

A total of 494 Calumpang trees were planted, demonstrating MEPI's commitment to protecting the environment and supporting community growth. This initiative aims to improve the local environment, encourage community involvement, and combat climate change, reflecting MEPI's dedication to sustainability and environmental awareness.

The celebration of Eid-ul-Adha is to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion to Allah SWT and his readiness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. At the very point of sacrifice, Allah SWT replaced Ismail with a ram, which was to be slaughtered in place of his son. This command from Allah SWT was a test of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command, without question. Therefore, Eid-ul-Adha means the festival of sacrifice.
