Ang Republica Filipina Reenactment Group ay nagsagawa ng reenacment ng "Liberation of Bilibid" ngayong umaga sa Alabang, Muntinlupa bilang pagdiriwang ng ika-80 anibersaryo ng pagpapalaya sa Muntinlupa noong Feb. 4, 1945, Isang pagpupugay sa mga beterano sa kanilang pag-ibig sa bayan at kalayaan laban sa mga mananakop.

Last January 30, 2025, the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO), represented by Ret. General Restituto Aguilar, DND Assistant Secretary and PVAO Deputy Administrator, together with the representatives of Republica Filipina Reenactment Group, held a coordination meeting at the PVAO Office, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The agenda was the participation of RFRG and other Reenactors to the upcoming 80th Anniversary of WW2 commemoration events in the country, particularly in Manila and Northern Luzon Areas, as well as long term partnerships and potential collaborations between PVAO and RFRG. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

The Republica Filipina Reenactment Group held its monthly Guarnicion En Bagumbayan (Garrison in Bagumbayan) at the Japanese Garden (formerly Cuartel de Bagumbayan), Rizal Park, Manila. During the event, many recruits attended, interviewed and signed in to join the group. However, due to COMELEC Gun Ban and as per request by NPDC, we used bamboo poles in the meanwhile, instead of replica rifles for its rifle drills. Also, in the past, bamboo poles were used as substitutes for Rifles for training purposes. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Today is the 126th anniversary of the First Philippine Republic. Born in the Barasoain Church, Malolos, Bulacan in 1899, this was the first democracy and constitutional republic in Asia.

Busy fighting the Americans in a war 12 days later (not even a year since our proclamation of independence from Spain), the First Republic had no animal welfare policies. YET, they did condemn the American brutalities against Aspins killed unmercifully only because of the latter's noise.
