Brothers Ged and Bart had dreamed of owning their own restaurant since they we young. They have always been so enthused with the idea of owning a food place that truly embodies their p
assion for food. In the year 2014, the first Ged and Bart branch was established at 2313 Taft Avenue Malate, Manila. Its target market is primarily student from universities within the vicinity. Being students themselves before, they know what students want and need. Since they would want to fit into the students’ lifestyle and busy schedules, they thought of serving delicious to-go meals that are budget-friendly. Since students patriotized their food products, they soon expanded. Bart leased out more space so as to accommodate more people. What was then a very limited space of 7 square meters evolved into what Ged & Bart is today. Apart from this strategy, the owners also made it a point to put up a stall in Agno so as to cater to the growing market. Even until now, Ged & Bart have always remained true to their identity. The owners are not thinking of adding more dishes since they would want to preserve the original menu they had since the start. For them, this is a long-term business strategy so that students will remember their food as something iconic. Ged & Bart has already been part of the Lasallian culture. Because of their dedication and commitment to stay true to their passion, they have achieved great success in the food business.
