Witness the beauty of the colors of the Province of Lanao del Sur and the whole of the Bangsamoro showcased during the three-day 33rd Philippine Travel Mart held at the SM MOA Convention Center, Pasay City.
The Bangsamoro Booth has been receiving plenty of visitors since the event opened this morning. They are in awe of the culture and the hospitality of our people, and delight in the free delicacies we serve.

The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur joins the 33rd Philippine Travel Mart in Pasay City. The PLGU-LDS is part of the Bangsamoro contingent. LDS Tourism Focal Person Ahmad Nouraldin Alonto Tamano, Jr. said the province of Lanao del Sur has been joining the event as an exhibitor since 2016.
The PTM opens today and shall end on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

The summit aims to ensure cross-sector collaboration and immersive educational experiences, which erases the division between artisans, industry, and key players in the handwork economy, encourage Meranaw artisans to be registered and provide a platform exhibiting the Meranaw artisanship.
Together, let’s cultivate a deep understanding of the Meranao culture through the promotion of Arts and crafts.

Maranao or Meranaw is a term commonly defined as “people of the lake”, referring to Lake Lanao in the province of Lanao del Sur—hailed as one of the ancient lakes in the world. They are known for their metal crafts, architecture, colorful dances, cultural attire, tapestry, distinctive cuisine, and epic literature.
They uphold these traditions despite the modernization. In fact, during the month-long celebration of the 63rd Lanao del Sur founding anniversary dubbed “Pakaradyaan O Sarimanok” in July 2022, the Maranaos showcased their rich and fascinating culture.

Lanao del Sur Tourism took part in this year’s Farm Tourism Development Training in Lake Sebu. The Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Tourism organized a 5-day intensive Training and Immersion on Farm Tourism Development held from 2 to 6 December 2021 in Sebul Farm, Lake Sebu. As forecasted by D.A, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will be a major food producer for the Philippines in five years and integrating it with tourism is a win-win situation for both sectors. Agritourism is a major contributor to socio-economic development that can create jobs and income for Bangsamoro. With fertile soil, natural landscapes, beautiful terrain, unique culture, and history. Farm Tourism is an ideal offering to visitors. Thirty (30) participants representing Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, and BaSulTa were trained to identify resources that could be developed into viable Farm Tourism. Each province presented its own Product/Service Design, Product Costing, Business Model Canvas and Operations Improvement Plan. Mr. Edmundo Y.
