Vanguards of History
The Carolinian Historical society (CHS), is the organization of students who desires to establish a society that shall foster the study of history and to arouse and promote historical consciousness not only among Carolinians but also to the community at large. Our booth acmes the “Tres De Abril” which is one of the most significant and provocative issues in the history of Cebu. It states the story of the events that occurred during the Philippine revolution particularly in Cebu. How the Katipunan struggled to be triumphant against the Spaniards, led by one of our famous hero Pantaleon Villigas known as Leon Kilat. Which date has been marked out in our history as the 3rd of April 1898, known as the first Katipunan revolution in Cebu. As to the members of the society we want to promote the study of our histoy for we believe that “we can only judge the future by form what we have suffered from the past”. Thus the organization tries to promote the study of history by letting them know that we are HISTORIANS BY HEART! So we love history so much.
