GOOD NEWS I The Philippine Airlines will offer more flights between Manila and Basco (Batanes) beginning July 24, 2022.

From July 24, a new Sunday frequency will bring PAL's Manila-Basco-Manila services to four flights weekly every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Full schedule below:
PR 2932 Manila-Basco – departing at 06:00 AM, arriving at 07:45 AM
PR 2933 Basco-Manila – departing at 08:15 AM, arriving at 10:00 AM

From August 2, its Manila-Basco-Manila services will increase to seven weekly flights, giving convenient morning departures every day of the week. The departure and arrival times are the same as stated above.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is very excited to announce that the Korean Government will allow visa-free entry to Jeju Island and Yangyang starting 1 June 2022.

For Jeju, Filipino tourists are allowed to enter the beautiful island via direct flights only and stay up to 30 days. Some airlines are reportedly planning to schedule direct flights from the Philippines to Jeju soon. However, tourists are not permitted to travel to other regions outside Jeju.

For Yangyang, Filipino tourists are required to book a group tour program arranged by a designated travel agency. They are allowed to stay up to 15 days and travel around the cities and places in Gangwon Province and Seoul Metropolitan Area only. Please be advised that they must travel back to the Philippines via the Yangyang International airport.

Please note that foreign tourists are still required to comply with the existing health protocols.
Please visit the Embassy’s website for more information on the eligibility for the visa-free entry to Korea as well as the health protocols.

The Korean Embassy hopes that the visa-free entry will promote people-to-people exchanges between Korea and the Philippines via tourism.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: France has been included among the Red List countries effective December 10 to 15, 2021.

Travelers who had been to France in the past 14 days and arrive on Dec 10 to 12 may enter the country but must do 14-day quarantine and RT-PCR test on the 7th day. Meanwhile, passengers coming from or who have been to France within the last 14 days will not be allowed entry to the Philippines regardless of their vaccination status from Dec. 13 to 15, 2021.
