"WOW PLACER!" Placer, Surigao del Norte, is a hidden gem that's just waiting to be discovered. Recently, our team conducted an assessment of the Coral Reefs found in Brgy. Lakandula and we were absolutely amazed by its beauty. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life left us in awe, and we knew right away that this place has immense potential to be a tourist destination. With its unspoiled beauty and rich natural resources, Placer has so much to offer to travelers. Thanks to the Municipal Tourism Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Municipal Agriculture Office of LGU-Placer, Surigao del Norte, headed by our Municipal Mayor Hon. Jovymarie C. Villazon We would like to thank Ma'am Ylleine Tibay Orquina, Pruden Zzio, and their team for their invaluable support during our assessment. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CENRO Tubod staff and the Philippine Coast Guard for their diving assistance. Special thanks to Engr. Artemio E. Valerosso, the TMC Resident Mine Manager, Engr. Vince Ivan Libao, the TMC Environment Manager, Agapito S. Cuadra Jr., the TMC Marine Biologist. Their efforts were instrumental in making this event a success.
