Amo dya ang mga aktibidades para sa kahiwatan kang 20th year kang PAHINIS FESTIVAL umpisa January 27 hasta 31 nga may tema: PAHINIS SA DARWA KA DEKADA: KAWA KANG TAYUYON NGA PAGHIRIUGYON, SIMBORYO KANG KULTURA KAG KABUHI KANG LAUAN-ON.

Kada gabii may local/invited band nga maga tukar antes mag disco paagi sa Jubilee Sound System.

NAGABATON NA ANG SK MUNICIPAL FEDERATION OFFICE kang applicants sa gusto mag intra sa Hara de Pahinis 2025 pageant nga pagahiwaton sa January 31, 2025.

Ang Hara de Pahinis amo ang bersyon kang beauty pageant sa Laua-an nga ginahiwat kada mag Pahinis Festival. Sa kadyang tuig ang Pahinis nag lab-ot na sa ika 20 ka tuig (Emerald year) halin kang dya gin establisar kang 2005.

Pagahiwaton ang Pahinis Festival 2025 sa January 27-31, 2025.

By virtue of Executive Order No. 129 signed on January 1, 1915 issued by American Governor General to the Philippines, Francis Burton Harrison, Laua-an was declared as 12th town of Antique.

CROWN BEFORE 2024 ENDS!
Miss PYAP Laua-an 2024 crown was placed on the head of queenly KRISTINE SEVIGAN last December 27, 2024 at municipal covered court.

Kristine is a senior high school student , who also received Best in Playsuit, Best in Casual Wear and Best in Gown awards.

Miss PYAP Tourism 2024 was taken by French Nunieza who was also adjudged Best in Production Number, Best in Interview and StopBuy Choice sponsor's award.

The crown for Miss PYAP Heritage 2024 was made fitting on the head of Dennica Baldestamon.

Meanwhile the three other runners up joined the winners in receiving cash prizes and a privilege to be LGU scholars with 5K worth of educational assistance.

"All of them mangin LGU scholars nga may 5,000 worth of financial assistance," said Mayor Aser Baladjay, MPG.

The pageant is part of Friday event in the conduct of IGRAB 2024 organized by MSWDO with the assistance of Mun. Tourism Office.

LAUA-AN IS CROWNED DATU KANG ANTIQUE 2024!

Lewrence June Nietes Cuaton , Datu kang Laua-an was declared winner as Datu kang Antique 2024 Gold, on December 17, 2024 at EBJ Freedom Park, San Jose, Antique.

Lewrence also took home the awards Cultural Advocate, Best in Datu Costume, Best in Resorts Wear, and Best in Social Media Challenge.

"Salamat gid sa Diyos kay ginbuligan na ako. Salamat man sa akon pamilya. Amo man kay Mayor Aser S. Baladjay Sr. sa ana todo todo nga suporta, municipal officials, SK officials kag tanan nga taga Laua-an, ilabi na gid kay Sir Popet ang Tourism Officer, "said Cuaton.

Festival and in-depth interview for Lin-ay kang Antique was conducted yesterday in Esprutingkel Convention Center.

Ritchel Cadiong Flores, the Lin-ay kang Laua-an in her yellow arrival attire give her best to answer five questions given by the organizer.

"Medyo na short ako sa last question bangud daw indi ko mabatian ang question kag dara man siguro ka kulba ko", said Ritchel.

Festival attire also followed as part of another contest category whom Ritchel proudly worn the Iraynon-Bukidnon inspired traditional attire in orange-red costume.

Watching among the crowds are also group of Iraynon-Bukidnon support fans from Laua-an.

"In our humble ways, we need to re-introduce our Iraynon-Bukidnon people as part of our society here in Laua-an. I myself is so proud of our IPs and they have my full support, said Mayor Aser Baladjay, MPG.

DONE! VALIDATION OF CULTURAL PROPERTIES OF LAUA-AN.

Ang University of the Philippines kag ang nag panguna sa pag hiwat kang validation of cultural mapping nga ginpatigayong kang mga research assistants halin sa UA, kadya nga adlaw sa Sibalom, Antique.

Kada banwa may representante agud mangin validators para ang mga tangible kag intangible nga cultural property kang Laua-an mangin factual kag in-tact.

"Importante ang pag validate kang aton cultural properties bangud rugya naga sandig ang pagsipad-sipad kag pagtiriringub (data banking) kang mga hinuptan, mga possessions kag kultura kang aton mga kamal-aman, IPs man ukon indi," pahayag ni Mayor Aser S. Baladjay, MPG.

Dugang pa ni Mayor Baladjay nag duro pa ang dapat ma cultural map sa Laua-an bangud duro ang wara na makita ukon nabasahan sa una nga edition kang cultural mapping nga napublish na paagi sa sangka libro.

Ang cultural mapping sangka project ni Sen. Loren Legarda nga may tinutuyo sa pag preserba kag pag "archive" kang mga kultura kang tanan nga banwa sa Antique.

Si Mr. Albert Gerona, Deped Teacher III, ang cultural mapper kang Laua-an kag si Mr. Jovenel Magno ang Tourism Officer ang nag attend sa amo dya nga validation.
