The Air India crash…
To some, just another heartbreaking news story.
But to me, it hit deeper , a soul-stirring reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life really is.
As a mum, as a wife, as someone just trying to do her best each day…
It made me stop and think. And feel.
Four stories stood out to me ,each one a quiet lesson in how to live more fully.
⸻
1. The family who never made it to their new beginning.
They waited years for their dream, to start a better life in the UK.
Life kept getting in the way.
Delays. Bills. Responsibilities.
Then finally… their moment came. They boarded that flight.
But never made it.
It reminded me:
We make plans for “someday,” but what if someday never comes?
Live now. Move forward. Make space for your dreams today.
⸻
2. The woman who missed the flight.
She arrived late. She pleaded. She begged. She was angry.
But she was told, “No.”
And that “no” saved her life.
Sometimes we fight for things not meant for us.
And we think we’re being rejected, but maybe, we’re being protected.
God’s delays are not always denials.
His “no” might just be His way of keeping us alive.
⸻
3. The man who survived.
He was seated in the part of the plane that didn’t catch fire.
Everyone around him, gone.
He walked away, dazed… but breathing.
That wasn’t luck. That was purpose.
It reminded me of that verse:
“There is a time for everything…”
And clearly, it just wasn’t his time.
⸻
4. And the ones who didn’t come home.
People who kissed someone goodbye, not knowing it was the last time.
People with unfinished dreams. With children. With stories still being written.
It broke my heart…
But it also whispered a quiet truth:
We are not promised later.
We are only promised now.
⸻
So if you still have today…
If you still have people you love,
If you’re still strong enough to try again…
Don’t wait.
Say it now.
Do it now.
Forgive now.
Hug now.
Be present now.
Because sometimes…
“Next time” never comes.
