PUBLIC ADVISORY

Per DOTr Memorandum Circular 2020-014 dated 03 August 2020, ALL public transport passengers MUST wear FACE SHIELDS, apart from face masks, starting 15 August 2020.

This covers public transport passengers in the sectors of aviation, maritime, road, and railways.

The mandatory use of face shields intends to provide an additional and essential layer of protection for the riding public, in order to minimize the risk of contracting the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

And as emphasized by Secretary Tugade, "No amount of protection is too much when it comes to HEALTH and SAFETY, especially that we are battling an invisible enemy."

As of today, 1 August, there are 33 airports in the country whose Local Government Units (LGUs) have issued orders categorically supporting the resumption* of commercial airport operations in their areas of jurisdiction.

*Some airports, while allowing the resumption of commercial flights, are subject to different documentary and passenger LGU restrictions.

Kudos to all frontliners 👏🏻👏🏻

Sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic sa buong mundo, patuloy din ang ating mga frontliner sa pagharap at paglaban sa mga hamong dulot nito.

Hindi alintana ang anumang pagod o panganib, walang patid ang pagtupad ng ating mga BAGONG BAYANI sa kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin--ang mag-aruga, magligtas, at magpagaling sa ating mga kababayang may sakit, lalo na ang mga COVID-19 patients na lubos ang pangangailangan ng tulong at pagkalinga.

Sa simula pa lamang ng pandemyang ito, sila na ang unang nakasuong sa larangan ng digmaan— tinitiis ang pagod, sakit ng katawan, hirap ng loob. Lumalaban sila sa sariling pangamba, agam-agam, at pangungulila sa pamilya, mabigyan lamang ng ginhawa ang may sakit, at sa kahit munting paraan ay makatulong upang maibsan ang paghihirap ng mga ito.

Sila ang ating mga minamahal na frontliners at health care workers na patuloy na pinipiling maglingkod sa BAYAN bago ang kanilang SARILI.

Kaya naman, ating bigyang-pugay at bigyan ng 'mahigpit na yakap' ang ating mga kababayang frontliner sa kanilang hindi matatawarang serbisyo at sakripisyo.

Mula sa buong hanay ng Kagawaran ng Transportasyon, maraming maraming salamat. Mahal namin kayo. IDOL namin kayo!

Palagi kayong nasa aming mga dasal. ❤️
