To celebrate women’s month, only one woman was ever able to finish the Barkley Marathon (dubbed as the baddest ultra marathon)since its founding in 1986. Features of the Barkley Marathon, the toughest ultra marathon on Earth:
✅ 100 miles of trail and off-trail with an elevation twice that of Mt. Everest
✅ half of the participants who were all males, since 1986 are DNF(Did Not Finish)
✅ 60 hours to complete the 5 loops with no aid stations, under rain, freezing temperatures and scorching heat of the course.
This year, Jasmin Paris from Scotland made history by finishing the super tough race with only 99 seconds remaining of the 60 hrs cut off time. This means only one thing: There’s nothing a man can do that a woman can’t. Cheers to all women in the world, most importantly our moms.

Jasmin Paris made history by becoming the first woman to finish the gruelling 100-mile Barkley Marathons.

Aside from being close to Calle Crisologo (3.4kms), Margie’s Home is also near Santa Catalina Beach (1.8kms) where you catch the finest of sunsets and best of sunrises. You can walk, run and ride going to the beach and enjoy the rich scented brew your coffee or the cool sub-zero beer 🍺 with a very good view and ambiance.

Yes it’s true, we have YouTube Premium in all of our rooms on top of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV+ all for free with blazing internet speed of 200-600mbps with dedicated routers in all of our rooms.

Sports tourism is good for the local economy. Margie’s Home is thankful for the 8th Ilocos Sur Invitational Ride hosted by Congressman Ronald V Singson where more than 3,000 riders all over the country participated. This event surely boosted local tourism and businesses. Lucky to have hosted riders from Nueva Viscaya led by Jed who spent the night at Margie’s Home.
