The Siquijor Healing Festival is celebrated every year during the Holy Week showcasing the island culture and heritage.
During the Festival, the Siquijor traditional healers gather at the sacred top of Mt. Bandilaan to carry on the island’s ancient traditions and practices, and the ritual of making traditional medicines which is a concoction of different herbs and roots gathered seven Fridays during the lenten season.
These traditional medicines used by healers as part of their ritual in treating illnesses, help drive away evil forces and treat different kinds of ailments.
There is also a quaint mountain fair where you can avail of hilot, tuod, bolo-bolo and more of the traditional healing practices of the Siquijor healers. Also traditional food, handcrafts, magic potions, amulets and more are on display for sell.

El Festival de Sanación de Siquijor se celebra todos los años durante la Semana Santa para mostrar la cultura de la isla. Durante el festival los curanderos (hilot, bolo-bolo) tradicionales de Siquijor se reunen en la cima del sagrado monte de Bandilaan para continúar con las antiguas tradiciones y costumbres de la Isla y con el ritual de la elaboración de las medicinas tradicionales, que son una mezcla de diferentes hierbas y raíces recolectadas durante los siete viernes de la Cuaresma.
Estas medicinas tradicionales utilizadas por los curanderos como parte de su ritual en el tratamiento de enfermedades, ayudan a ahuyentar las fuerzas del mal y tratar diferentes tipos de dolencias.
Hay también hay una pintoresca romeria de montaña donde poder disfrutar de las prácticas curativas tradicionales de los curanderos de Siquijor tal que hilot, tuod, bolo-bolo y otrás . También se exhiben para la venta comida tradicional, artesanías, pociones mágicas, amuletos y más.
