Why join BAKTAS: A Sunrise Walk for a Cause?

Baktas - A Sunrise Walk for a Cause is an event where participants will walk at sunrise to raise awareness about the recent fire incident at Sunrise Peak. This walk aims to deepen the understanding of Socorronhons about the importance of protecting our environment.

"Baktas” meaning "walk” captures the essence of this activity. The route will take participants from Socorro Gym to Sunrise Peak, serving as a collective effort to prevent future fire incidents, appreciate the natural beauty of our surroundings and strengthen community bonds.

This event is open to all Socorronhons. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tumbler filled with hot water, as the LGU Socorro will provide instant coffee and bread upon reaching the summit.

Please confirm your attendance at the Tourism Office and LYDO to be included in the certificates and snacks list. We look forward to walking together for a worthy cause!
