JUST IN: The Philippines has now two additional Ramsar Sites on the list!

We have the Sibugay Wetland Nature Reserve in Zamboanga Sibugay and the Del Carmen Mangrove Reserve (DCMR) in Siargao Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (SIPLAS) in Surigao Del Norte!

This goes to show that we are gearing towards our goal of the 30x30 initiative to protect 30% of the Earth's land and oceans as protected areas by 2030.

Hoping for more Ramsar Sites to come in the country to protect biodiversity, communities, and advance climate change resilience.
