PAL to reopen flights to Beijing & Shanghai; add flights to Xiamen & Guangzhou

We are happy to reintroduce flights to Shanghai and Beijing this February, with Quanzhou (Jinjiang) and Macau rejoining our network in March. We are also increasing flights to Xiamen and Guangzhou (Canton).

We are working closely with Chinese and Philippine health and aviation authorities to ensure the highest level of health safety protections for travelers. SHANGHAI – BACK WITH 3 TO 7 WEEKLY FLIGHTS

Effective February 14, PAL’s Manila-Shanghai (Pudong)-Manila service will operate initially with three flights per week, then increase to daily flights from March 26:

· PR 338 Manila-Shanghai - every Tuesday departing at 5:05 AM, arriving at 9:00 AM (until March 21 only)
· PR 336 Manila-Shanghai - every Thursday and Saturday departing at 11:30 AM, arriving at 3:10 PM (until March 25)
· PR 336 Manila-Shanghai - Daily departing at 10:50 AM, arriving at 2:30 PM (starting March 26)
· PR 339 Shanghai-Manila - every Tuesday departing at 10:50 AM, arriving at 2:45 PM (until March 21 only)

PAL will increase Manila-Xiamen-Manila services to twice weekly effective from February 14, with a third weekly frequency commencing on February 25:

· PR 330 Manila-Xiamen – every Tuesday departing Manila at 2:15 PM, arriving in Xiamen at 4:40 PM
· PR 334 Manila-Xiamen – every Saturday departing Manila at 7:35 AM, arriving in Xiamen at 9:55 AM
· PR 331 Xiamen-Manila – every Tuesday departing Xiamen at 5:40 PM, arriving in Manila at 8:30 PM
· PR 331 Xiamen-Manila – every Friday departing Xiamen at 11:55 AM, arriving in Manila at 2:30 PM
· PR 335 Xiamen-Manila – every Saturday departing Xiamen at 11:05 AM, arriving in Manila at 1:40 PM

GUANGZHOU (CANTON)

A major ramp up of services between Manila and Guangzhou (Canton) will see PAL’s flights increasing to twice weekly on February 16, then progressively adding frequencies to reach a full daily service by March 26.

Complete schedule from February 16:

· PR 382 Manila-Guangzhou (Canton) – every Saturday departing at 2:35 AM, arriving at 4:55 AM (until March 25)
· PR 382 Manila-Guangzhou (Canton) – every Thursday departing at 5:05 AM, arriving at 9:00 AM (until March 23)
· PR 382 Manila-Guangzhou (Canton) – every Tuesday departing at 2:30 AM, arriving at 4:55 AM (starting March 7, until March 21)
· PR 383 Guangzhou (Canton)-Manila – every Thursday and Saturday departing at 5:55 AM, arriving at 8:35 AM (until March 23 and 25 respectively)
· PR 383 Guangzhou (Canton)-Manila – every Tuesday departing at 5:55 AM, arriving at 8:30 AM (starting March 7, until March 21)

Effective March 26, daily Guangzhou flights are slated to operate:

· PR 382 Manila-Guangzhou (Canton) - Daily departing at 2:05 AM, arriving at 4:35 AM
· PR 383 Guangzhou (Canton)-Manila - Daily departing at 5:45 AM, arriving at 8:10 AM

Advise Lang: If mag iinquire po kayo samin mga travel agent make sure na definite na po kayo sa travel plans nyo. Make sure po may budget na kayo pampa-book.

**Simplehan ko lang ang sagot: Once nagbigay po kami ng price, ang binibigay namin eh yung mga pinaka-lowest rate. and ang price po specially lower rate is limited time offer, limitead seat availability.
**Hindi fixed ang rate ng airlines, ferry, hotel accommodations.
**At higit sa lahat utang na loob wag nyo hintayin na bababa pa yung price as days go by, walang ganon. pataas po ang rate ng tickets dahil unang nauubos eh yung mga lower booking class. Kaya kapag may offer po kami na swak sa budget nyo, book nyo na agad para di kayo maunahan ng iba.
**Sometimes kaya madalas kayo nai-scam dahil kulang kayo sa information kung ano ba talaga ang kalakaran.
Kaya eto po shinishare ko sa inyo para makatulong sa inyo maging aware.
**Yung kakahanap mo ng mura, mas mura pa, yung mas mababa pa, yung tatawad ka pa, mas nagiging vulnerable po kayo sa mga scammer at jan kayo napagsasamantalahan.

Change in Legazpi airport code to DRP (from the current LGP) effective December 15

To our valued passengers:

From December 15, 2022, the Bicol International Airport in Daraga, Albay will have a new three-letter designator code “DRP” that airlines will use for baggage tagging and incorporate into their automated systems.

The new DRP code will replace Legazpi's current IATA code (LGP), as newly assigned by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Passengers who booked flights to and from Legazpi prior to this development will receive a notification via their registered e-mail addresses.

Pursuant to the Philippine Government’s efforts to streamline its entry procedures and data collection processes, we inform you of the launch of the eTravel platform, an online registration system for travelers to the Philippines and returning residents.

Beginning 0001H of 02 December 2022, the Health Declaration Checklist of the Department of Health-Bureau of Quarantine may be accessed through etravel.gov.ph.

Passengers using the former www.onehealthpass.com.ph will be redirected to the new eTravel domain. On December 5, the old domain of the One Health Pass will no longer be accessible to the public.

The eTravel platform will host the electronic version of the paper Arrival Card that travelers must submit upon arrival in the Philippines for immigration clearance. Starting 05 December 2022, the Bureau of Immigration will discontinue using the paper Arrival Card. All travelers will be required to provide their arrival information and health declaration through the eTravel portal.

Registration on the eTravel platform is free. The public is warned against transacting with any entities or websites soliciting payments and fees of any kind as these are in no way related to the official eTravel platform of the Philippine Government.

The eTravel platform is a joint initiative of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in partnership with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ), Bureau of Customs (BOC), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Justice (DOJ), and Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Ano nga ba ang ibig sabihin pag BASE FARE?

Sagot: Base Fare is the amount of fare before taxes, fuel surcharge and terminal fees are added.

Illustration: May seat sale or piso fare ang airline, sa post nakita mo 1, 99, 299, 399 and so on.

BASE FARE: Php 268 x 2 way (published rate ni airline sa post) for example roundtrip CRK-CEB-CRK
VAT: Php 118
Terminal Fee: 300
Aviation Security Fee: 30
Fuel Surcharge: 450
Web Admin Fee: 560
Total Amount: Php 1994

Di maaaring di mo bayaran ang tax, at mga fees na yan kasi government mandated yan.

Kaya magbasa at unawain muna mabuti ang Terms and Conditions bago ka mag PM sa anuman ticketing office or kahit na sa mismong official website /page ng airlines para hindi ka mabiktima ng

2️⃣. Naka promo ba ang ganitong date? Example Christmas Season, HolyWeek, Special Holidays, Long Weekends.

Sagot: 95% Hindi po.. Dahil ang mga petsang ito ay tinatawag na black out dates kung saan, di applicable ang promo fares dahil sa taas ng demand, andaming gustong magbiyahe sa ganitong time.

3️⃣. Discounted po ba ang bata, 3 years old and above?

Sagot: Considered as adult rate na po sila. Infant Rate is only applicable for 2 years old and below at dapat, wala pang 2 years old ang bata sa date ng travel para maging eligible sa infant rate.

4️⃣. Magpapabook po sana ako kaso bukas ko pa po mababayaran, pwede po ba ipareserve yan?

Sagot: BOOK AND BUY BASIS po ang airlines. Ibig sabihin, para mapasayo ang booking na gusto mo, kailangan muna itong bayaran bago makapag issue ng ticket. Dahil kadalasan, walang kakayahan ang agency na i-hold ang seats o promo fares.

5️⃣. Bakit inoffer ako ng murang fare sa una kong inquire nung babalikan ko mahal na?

Sagot: First come first served basis po ang booking ng promo. Maaaring nung nag inquire po kayo, available pa dahil maaga pa. Ngunit nakabase pa rin ang final ticket price sa oras kung kailan ninyo masesettle ang bayad. Kaya dapat wag na magpaligoy ligoy pa kung may nakita nang sale.

6️⃣. Legit po ba ung offer nyo ? Sagot: Legit ang offer ng isang ticketing office or travel agency kung:

✅ May PERMIT/License to operate sila
(DTI, Mayor’s Permit and BIR)

✅Published rate must be aligned to the published rate offered by the airlines. Pag may nagooffer sa inyo na mas mababa sa mga yan o sobrang malayo sa published rate, magtaka ka na, dahil malamang scam yan.

✅Pag nagbook sa mga online travel agency, make Sure na makikita nyo sa itinerary ticket nyo ang PNR para macheck nyo sa airlines kung may confirmed reservation ka sa kanila.
