MS Mountain Cabin – Loboc Bohol
“I’m so glad that my wife and I chose MS Mountain Cabins on our way home to Tagbilaran. We originally only planned to stay overnight, but liked it so much that we stayed a second night. The place is absolutely beautiful, with artistic landscaping and architecture, unique design(including the pool) and mountain views(you can see the ocean from the property). Mountain Cabins has a clean, friendly, natural vibe. The staff and owner is wonderful and spoke with us at length. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. I’ve stayed at numerous quality resorts here in the Philippines and this one is my favorite.”
“Amazing resort in an amazing location. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I will come back and stay again.”
“Definitely love this place. It's very clean, new, elegant and affordable. The view from above is stunning and a perfect spot to unwind since the place is very peaceful and tranquil. They have wifi in the main building but we weren't able to use the smart tv in the villa since there's no connection yet but it's fine and understandable. Pool may be quite undersized but it's not a problem. Food is SUPERB, they're all delicious and price is definitely cheaper compared to other spots we visited and they have plenty of dishes in the menu. The highlight of this place is not the place itself but the staff. My wife and I love their service and hospitality as they are all friendly and accommodating.”

Balicasag Marine Sanctuary – Balicasag Island Panglao
“We had a wonderful time snorkeling and we aren’t great swimmers but were well looked after by the guides.
The guides also took pics and videos of us swimming which was awesome.
The fish are many and varied and there are a variety of soft and hard corals.
If you are looking for Nemo and Dorey they can be found there as you go towards the reef drop off.
Also the turtle swimming is superb and surreal.”
“Such an amazing paradise. My family and I had a great time on this island. A bit pricey but it was worth it. It is a peaceful place, the color of the water is incredible: turquoise with blue tones. Highly recommend.”
“The place is magnifecent.. loved the diving and snorkeling here.. do this activity for sure fun and enjoy! They have good food here too. The place is such a jewel of Bohol. The sea is so clean and cool. Will come back again!”
“Another tourist spot on southern part of Panglao, which is known for its breathtaking diving spot. the beach here is good too. white sand, clear water. The back to back view of Siquijor Island and Southern Cebu from a far was Superb. You can also enjoy the island by walking around it if you are not a fan of deep water activities like me.”

Bohol Chocolate Farm – Sagbayan Bohol
“An absolute must-visit in Bohol. The tour and chocolate making overall lasts about 3 hours and is absolutely worth it. Ryan is very knowledgeable in cacao cultivation and chocolate making. We learned a lot. This farm is also a training center for local farmers to learn how to improve their cacao culture as to bring up the overall quality of cacao in Bohol”
“Our family did the Chocolate Farm Tour with Ryan and we had so much fun. Our boys 11 and 8 loved doing every step of chocolate making from picking the cacao pods all the way to pouring our own bars. The team prepared some wonderful snacks, fresh fruit and drinking chocolate while we waiting for our bars to set. It was a 1.5 hour trip from our hotel in Alona Beach, but it was well worth the price and there is lots you can see on the way. Thanks again Ryan and the Bohol Chocolate Farm team for a new appreciation of what goes into a chocolate bar.”
“We had a great tour today, Christine showed us the nursery and explained the different stages of the seedlings and grafting. Also the different types of species they grow.
Ryan then took us on a tour to show us the established Cacao trees. We picked a cacao pod and brought it back to the farm. We learnt the 7process of opening pods, fermentation, drying, roasting and grinding. Such an interesting process.
Added bonus of getting to make your own chocolate bar.”
“We did a cacao and chocolate tour, hosted by Ryan and it was incredible! We went into the entire process from harvesting cacao to making our own chocolate bar, accompanied with great local snacks (of course chocolate themed :)) The farm itself is also very beautiful and nicely maintained. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, and Ryan was the best and most friendly host. Could only recommended to book a tour here! It’s a nice switch from all the water and beach focused activities in the Philippines!”
“Amazing tour and super knowledgeable guide. I’ve learned all about the cocoa plant and made my own chocolate tablet. Totally worth it!”
