Are MDPI and Frontiers banned?

In 2022, though I am not teaching in University, I still like to Publish my own Papers.
It is part of my hobby while running Proofreading by a UK PhD.

So last year, i Wanted to explore Customer Retention, Electric Vehicle and Scoping Review, so worked on some Papers alongside with some of my colleagues to Publish In Elsevier, Frontiers and MDPI.

Now, Many are raising the issue of MDPI and Frontiers getting banned by their Universities, BUT are they really scammy and predatory? I dont know, but from my personal experience they are quite strict.

For an example, my Elsevier paper was 1st rejected by MDPI, then was accepted by Elsevier Heliyon. MDPI was quite tough , but they are fast. Thereafter, my 2nd and 3rd Papers in Frontiers and MDPI went through rigorous review, and the revision time was very short to respond which makes it quite challenging. The comments were quite rigorous and detailed.

Bottom line, check with your Universities which particular journals are still recognized as WoS in their system, cause its a lot of work, a lot of money to simply not get recognition.
