TOURIST SHOULD BE AWARE OF REGARDING JAPANESE CULTURE BEHAVIOR

1. Shoes Off Indoors:
When entering homes, some traditional accommodations, temples, and certain restaurants, you are expected to remove your shoes. Look for a designated area for shoes and use provided slippers if available.

2. Bowing and Greetings:
Bowing is a common form of greeting and showing respect. While you don’t have to bow exactly as locals do, a slight nod or bow when meeting someone can be appreciated.

3. Quiet Public Behavior:
Maintaining a quiet demeanor in public spaces—especially on public transportation—is important. Keep conversations subdued and be mindful of others in crowded areas.

4. Queue Etiquette:
Japanese society values order. Whether waiting for a train, bus, or in line at a store, always form a neat, organized queue and wait patiently.

5. Dining Etiquette:

• Chopstick Rules: Avoid actions such as sticking chopsticks upright into rice, passing food directly from one set of chopsticks to another, or pointing with them.
• Tipping: Tipping is generally not practiced and can even be considered rude. Good service is standard and appreciated without extra gratuity.

6. Public Transportation Manners:
Mobile phone conversations are often kept to a minimum or moved to quieter areas. It’s courteous to use your phone in silent mode when riding trains or buses.

7. Recycling and Trash Disposal:
Japan has strict rules for waste separation. Pay attention to local guidelines for disposing of trash and recycling, as public trash bins can also be scarce.

8. Visiting Religious Sites:
When visiting shrines and temples, be respectful by following local protocols—such as washing your hands and mouth at purification fountains and speaking softly in prayer areas.

9. Public Baths (Onsen and Sento) Etiquette:
If you visit an onsen (hot spring) or sento (public bath), you must wash and rinse thoroughly before entering the communal bath. Tattoos might also be an issue at some establishments, so check the rules in advance.

10. Cash-Based Society:
Many places in Japan, especially smaller shops and restaurants, prefer cash over credit cards. It’s a good idea to carry some cash with you.


11. Language Considerations:
While English signage is common in major cities and tourist areas, many locals may have limited English proficiency. Learning a few basic Japanese phrases can be very helpful and is appreciated.

12. Politeness and Respect:
Japanese culture highly values respect and modesty. Even small gestures, such as a polite “thank you” (ありがとう arigatou) or “excuse me” (すみません sumimasen), can go a long way.

Started as a 1 person team,now an official and licensed agency for Travel,Tour,Visa and Passport services.We have been operating since 2017 up to 2019 but have been in a temporary stop of operation for over a year during the pandemic,2020.We resumed right after the pandemic settled down during 2021 and have still been active until now.

As we step forward to being an official and licensed Business in providing travel and tour related services,we hope to improve and bring you closer to the places of your dreams.
