The Imposter Syndrome

Are you designated in a position that you don't feel you deserve?

Maybe you are promoted to a leadership role or you are assigned to a post that you think you cannot get the job done.

Yung feeling na parang naligaw ka lang sa kung nasaan ka?

Remember, it is all in your mind!

Stop the negative self-talk because what you put in your mind translates to your behavior.

Dapat ikaw ang unang bilib sa kakayahan mo!

Let your self-belief be your trigger to do something meaningful in where you are.

Remember, the opportunity you are given is a gift, treasure it by giving your all every chance given.

From my mentee, future Atty. Ramos (she posted this reminder on her wall, literally) - "Learning with Atty. Rob Gozun is a new experience I will never regret in this journey to become a lawyer someday. It is never too late to join his bar exam or law school masterclass. — feeling thankful."

Are you tired, are you sullen with the stresses of your journey? Are you fearful or are you worrisome? Hang in there! Konting konti nalang, matatamo mo na ang gusto mo. Take a deep breath and just tell yourself to "suck it up, and just persist!" Parang kang tumatakbo tapos nakikita mo na ang finish line pero pagod na pagod ka na, aba, suck it up, persist, and run faster! Konting konti na lang, magpapabebe pa ba? Susuko ka pa ba? Isagad na yan. To the hilt! Makukuha mo ang pangarap mo. Makakawala ka din diyan sa mga paghihirap mo. Ipilit mo matamo yung talagang gusto mo, yung gusto talaga ng puso mo. Don't be restrained by your seeming limitations. Makaka laya ka sa paghihirap mo. Hindi pwedeng hindi.

If nothing ever makes you feel good while en-route to your goals, then go cocky and say to your problems and the things that seem to drag you down, "f**k it!" (*excuse the word) then move on! Persist on what your heart TRULY WANTS! Makakarating ka din. HINDI PWEDENG HINDI.

Having children who gives voluntarily is a blessing, do not make it a burden for them.

As Elon Musk once said, "My children didn't choose to be born. I choose to have children. They owe me nothing. I owe them everything."

No one is responsible for your own life except you. Let us break the cycle of dependency.

To every breadwinner in the family, as much as we want to help our family with the blessings that we have, sometimes what was supposed to be a blessing to them became a curse or a burden.

May you help your family willingly, without robbing yourself of your own future and your children's future.

And... May you find a partner that your future children can be proud of. They can't choose their parents, do it as a favor for them. Until then, always choose to become a better version of yourself. 🤍

To all of us, may we be blessed so much that our pockets overflows to bless our parents a life that they deserve without hurting our own and our children's future. 💛

Saving money is not an option or suggestion; it is your Christian duty (Proverbs 6:6-8; 30:25).
