Task: Scanvenger Word Hunt Game
A scavenger word hunt game involves participants searching for specific words or phrases hidden within a text or environment (in our case, clues can be found inside the books). The students received instructions of target words and must find and collect them all within a set time limit. Clues or hints may be provided to assist in locating the hidden words from every quote they found. The game promotes both critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration. They need to combine the words they collected and decipher the message. Finally, we ask them what is the message of the quote for them and for the youth. 🌺

July 15, 2024 (Part 2) - After a refreshing swimming, I convened a meeting to discuss the assigned books for our group sharing session. This time, it was Aivy and Ley's turn to present their insights. Aivy offered her interpretation of CHED Commissioner Ronald Adamat’s “The Blood Brothers,” while Ley provided her analysis of Edgardo Reyes’ “Sa Mga Kuko Ng Liwanag.” Following their presentations, I engaged them in a series of questions about the themes and issues presented in the books, similar to my approach with Daisy in the last group huddle. My objective was to explore their perspectives on topics such as discrimination, social injustices, racism, and other societal dilemmas which are present in the books. This exercise aimed to broaden their understanding and gauge their reactions to these critical issues. I am proud that they met my expectations. 🌺

After they were tasked to answer the Sudoku Challenge, we explained to them the purpose of having that activity. It is to practice their Problem Solving Skills and also explained to them how this will help them in facing any adversity in life.
Their next task is to read these books and share their thoughts about these Filipino masterpieces. Told them that these were also made into films. After they finish this, we will have group sharing/discussion, it will practice their public speaking skills and also the appreciation for culture and arts, since our Tourism Office is the home of The Book Nook Upi Maguindanao. We encourage them to read and broaden their knowledge and imagination. We asked them to provide a review to be published here before the summer program ends, this will challenge them to write contents.

Here are your Youth Tourism Team in the summer program of UYGP and USEPS.
On the first day, we not only introduced the duties and responsibilities of a tourism officer and staff but also organized engaging activities to assess the students' existing knowledge and skills. These activities were designed to be both fun and informative, allowing us to observe their strengths and identify areas where they might need further development. By combining practical demonstrations with interactive challenges, we ensured that the students were actively involved and could better understand the various aspects of the tourism field and any job.
This approach allowed us to create a baseline understanding of each student’s capabilities, enabling us to tailor future training sessions to address specific needs. By identifying their current competencies early on, we can develop a more effective training program that prepares them thoroughly for their roles. The activities also fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the participants, setting a positive tone for the days ahead. 🌺

The LGU-Upi Tourism Office visited the potential tourist attractions in barangays Tinungkaan and Kiga yesterday, March 30, 2023. The said attraction in barangay Tinungkaan is the Tinungkaan Cave, and on Kiga are Kiga Falls and Sëutung Batew. The said visitation is to assess the cultural properties in the municipality of Upi, Maguindanao. This visitation was assisted by the barangay officials. Headed by the barangay chairwoman of Tinungkaan, Hon. Julieta M. Oguid, assisted by the assigned kagawad, Hon. Bernaldo S. Sapan, together with the BPATs, and to the chairman of barangay Kiga, Hon.
