3 Days from now dapat na-inform na kayo ng mga Airlines (as of this time hindi pa po ito nakapost as reminders sa kanilang mga Official FB Pages) Philippine Airlines Airasia at Cebu Pacific Air hopefully makapag post na rin sila to inform their passengers ahead of time.

Reminder po, simula sa 23 July 2020 required na ang RT-PCR negative test result sa lahat ng mga pasahero na patungong Kalibo (Aklan) as per Provincial EO No. 029-B series of 2020 date 16 July 2020.

If you are in doubt/ uncertain please see your carriers FB Page/ Travel Agent , Aklan Province FB Official Page, Provincial Health Office-Aklan FB Page and "CAAP AREA VI" official FB Page for Western Visayas airport passengers.

Recently, there have been many cases in which COVID-19 has been confirmed among those who entered Korea on board an airplane from the Philippines.

Therefore, the South Korean government decided to require all foreigners (including transfer passengers) arriving in South Korea from July 20 to present a Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Result issued within 48 hours before flight departure time. The Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Result must be shown at the time of check-in at the airport and upon the time of arrival at the quarantine authority in Korea.

*Sample Case: Passengers on flights departing on July 20 (Mon) 23:55 have to present their Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Result was issued between July 19 (Sun) and July 20 (Mon).

In addition, the Negative COVID-19 PCR Test Result will only be accepted if it was issued by one of the hospitals designated by the embassy. Please refer to the image below for the list of designated hospitals.

The above measures are not related to visa issuance, so even though you have already received a visa, you have to take an additional COVID-19 PCR Test before your flight.

Lastly, new visa applications at the Korean Embassy in the Philippines will no longer be accepted until further notice, and processing of visa applications that have already been received prior to this announcement will be stopped. (Exceptions : visa for diplomatic, official, seamen, spouse and child of Korean national)

If you have any questions regarding the above, please contact [email protected].
