Good news travelers! 🥰

JUST IN: Effective Feb 1, fully vaccinated passengers will be required to present negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hrs prior to departure from country of origin, and they will no longer be required to undergo facility quarantine.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers would be required to undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of their negative RT-PCR test taken on the 5th day.

Effective Feb 10, fully vaccinated nationals of non-visa required countries shall be allowed to enter the Philippines, subject to several conditions. | via Leila Salaverria/Philippine Daily Inquirer

JAPAN CANCELLATIONS ON AUGUST 16 DUE TO VOLCANIC EMISSIONS

For safety reasons, we have cancelled the following flights to and from Japan on August 16, due to ash emissions from the Fukutoku-Okanoba volcano located some 1,000 kilometers south of Tokyo:
PR428/427 Manila - Tokyo (Narita) - Manila
PR422/421 Manila- Tokyo (Haneda) - Manila
PR412/411 Manila - Osaka (Kansai) - Manila
PR438/437 Manila- Nagoya - Manila

If you are a passenger of any of the cancelled flights, you may avail of any of the following options:

1. Rebook your flight to a later date;
2. Convert your ticket to a Travel Voucher;
3. Refund your ticket without penalties.

Domestic travelers no longer need to secure travel permit and medical certificate after the IATF-MEID approved the harmonized national travel protocols for land, air, and sea, the Department of the Interior and Local Government confirmed Monday.

“If the LGU of destination requires a test, it shall only require a Reverse-Transcription - Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test and no other. Meaning, LGUs cannot require Antigen tests or rapid tests as test requirements prior to travel,” DILG Undersecretary and Spokesperson Jonathan Malaya said.

Malaya advised travelers to check with the local government of their destinations before travelling.
