Brethren, we have an opportunity to fast 8 consecutive days in Muharram starting this 15th of July, Monday. Don't miss this great opportunity of fasting the day of Ashura and succeeding white days of the month to include during Monday and Thursday.

It's highly recommended to fast on the 9th of Muharram as well as this is the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ).

‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fasted on the day of ‘Ashoora and told the people to fast, they said, “O Messenger of Allah, this is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Next year, if Allah wills, we will fast on the ninth day.” But by the time the following year came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had passed away. [Muslim]

Whoever wasn't able to fast the 9th, then you can go ahead and fast on the 11th along with the 10th of Muharram to differentiate from the Jews and Christians. Due to the variations of moon sightings, there's also nothing wrong with fasting all three days to be extra sure that you've caught the day of Ashura.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "For fasting the day of 'Ashura', I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before." [Muslim]

Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said:
"I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of 'Ashura'….." [Al-Bukhari]

For those who may have a difficult time fasting for whatever reason, it is permissible to fast the day of 'Ashura only, however fasting it along with the 9th, or at least the day after, is better as it is in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet (ﷺ).

Mondays and Thursdays are days which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ fast.

3 white days of the Month are sunnah to fast. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and Ayyam al Beed (White days) are the 13th, 14th and 15th".

Tawaf ifada sambil nakaJiyara kta nyo ha Hajr Al Aswad sambil pa mga tours natu’ alhamdulillah paglami lami natu. Damkyan in mga pgBisita natu’ pa Raudha Alhamdu lillaah nahinang natu.
