WHAT DOES THE OCEAN TAUGHT ME
When you connect with the ocean, something within you comes alive.
We feel happy, we feel free.
I think this is because we connect with deeper parts of ourselves.
WEAKNESS. I felt incrediby small standing by the ocean. It taught me that weakness is okay. That the only way to heal is to embrace one’s brokenness. We are humans and it’s perfectly normal to feel an array of emotions. It’s okay not to be okay but always remember: you are enough.
INCONSISTENCY. The only thing consistent in life is inconsistency. The ocean ebbs and flows, and I believe life follows suite. Though the world may try to bend and break you, you must know by now that life is full of seasons. Enjoy the blissful moments life throws at you, for seasons of heartbreak and war, new life and new beginnings.
LOVE. As cliché as it sounds, love well. It’s what keeps the world in rotation. It’s one thing I’m sure of. Just like the ocean, we continue to feel alive with the waves.
