Travel Requirements to Malaysia
(Please read dear traveloves)

Effective 1 August 2022, the Malaysian government has announced the relaxation of requirements for travellers to enter the country.


All travellers are allowed to enter regardless of their COVID-19 vaccination status.

All travellers are no longer required to obtain the Traveller's Card.

All travellers are no longer required to take a COVID-19 pre-departure and on-arrival test for (either RT-PCR or RT-ART).

Quarantine upon arrival is no longer required.

MySejahtera application is not mandatory but travellers are encouraged to download and register.

Upon arrival, all travellers will go through a thermal screening conducted by the airport health authorities.

Travellers who test positive while in Malaysia must undergo isolation via Home Surveillance Order (HSO) for seven (7) days.

Travellers can be released from isolation on the 4th, 5th or 6th day when they are asymptomatic and the RTK Ag test (professional) is negative.
