Jocelle's Food Trip It is time to please your tastebuds without necessarily bleeding your pockets. Join my food adventures as we go food-treasure hunting!

Food tasting is a skill that I have developed through practice. There are dangers to it like having curves in the wrong places but the minutes spend adds up to one great experience. I realized that in our lifetime there are places we only go to once. And therefore somehow, it is such as waste to spend a day in a city or a country without knowing its real treasures (aside from its people of course)

- and for me - it's FOOD. The next question, however, is whether we can afford it. And whetehr we have enough time to go "hunting" for the place where you can find it. I also realized that there are food I go back to everytime I have a chance. More than just rice - there are dishes you kind of miss after a while - like a long lost friend. Not necessarily to advertise or promote the restaurant (or stall) but just the thought of letting your friends experience what you have experienced. Call it the palate's delight in a plate! I thing it is very rewarding to share this pieces information. Afterall, our capacity to eat and the kind of food we can eat depends not only on our economic status but also on our age. So I don't want to grow old not being able to taste (and share) the things I love most to eat. It may sound different - but sometimes you can say "...ang sarap na binabalik-balikan" or you can say "... I tasted you once... but the enjoyment will last a lifetime." The best lines for me would be - "it was the best free lunch I ever had!" or "Eureka! I found a place where I can afford to buy 10x as much as I can afford the same food in a expensive restaurant!"

The exploration is a great experience (especially for those who have no allergies for wathever kind of food). So here, my FB friends - you will know of my food adventures!

Chicken Garlic Brocolli. Recipe with locked in crunchiness of the Brocolli. Ingredients - 🥦 Brocolli, chicken 🐔 breast, oyster sauce, butter, garlic, onions, pepper and salt. Briefly saute the Brocolli separately with all the ingredients except oyster sauce. Make sure it doesn't get soggy, but just enough for butter to settle in. Saute chicken with all the ingredients until cooked - dry and chunky. Add oyster sauce and sautéed Brocolli. Toss for a few minutes on low fire while until oyster sauce settles in. Add more salt and pepper if need. That's it!

Easy to make Filipino Style Korean Flat Noodles Soup. Just look for left over pork, beef or chicken in the fridge. Sautee in onion and garlic, and add water, salt and pepper for taste. Meanwhile, boil noodles for two minutes until al dente (Korean Noodles only take 2-3 minutes). Rinse noodles with running water. Set in a bowl. Drench with soup. And throw in one egg. And voila! Your soup is ready.
