Finally! I am here to share about our Roadtrip! Though I am a bit pressed for time pa din coz I need to go home to put our baby labs Kutie (Mati) and Cuchie (Chamie) to nap 😆🥰😴

Before anything, on top of everything, it's most fun to travel (kahit around the neighborhood lang) with your fave people, in our case, with our kulit fambam!!! 🥰

I will attach here the researched Itinerary (Expectation) 😆. Of couse , not all of it was followed. and that's ok, coz it's just a guide, what's most important is having fun through the trip =)

BETTER LATE THAN NEVERRRR!!! 😆🙊🙈🙏🏽🥰

Much as I want to share about our trip (coz my sharp anesthesia memory might have a due date in remembering (Lord pa extend po 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽) ... Life happens :) we don't have an ate when we came back so need to shift to inday mode 😆😆😆 and have to prioritize finishing something (patulong pray done na sya tom 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽) still... while i'm not yet done with the priority thingy 🙏🏽... just dropped by... para maiba naman ihip ng hangin... at mkapag commercial... sharing a.photo from one of the sites we visited in ELYU... OUR RECENT TRIP TO CEBU BOHOL (Photos to follow hopefully when I'm done with our 1st Quarter 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 pa help pray matapos this week! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽)

Usually when I post here (for now) is to share learnings and hacks from a recent travel (while it is srill fresh in my sharp anrsthesia mind 😆🙏🏽) in fairness, we travelled last Oct 7-11 and. I tried going back to rememver what i want to share 😆

For now here are tips I want to share :)

CEBU
1. Public transport in Cebu

When we arrived in Cebu, we rode the blavk taxi (we are a family of 7 i just realized our family count is my fave no! 🥰) we were told Cebu is cery strict with no of pax taht's why they charged us quite high...

But honestly, getting a Grab is much cheaper. So when you arrive at Cebu Airport, esp when you are many, book through Grab. After taking lunch at Ayala Cebu, we hailed a car taxi and he allowed all 7 of us to ride his car and tour us around cebu and thank God no cops stopped us 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

2. Early Check in at Quest Hotel Cebu
I was curious about NAIA Clark so I booked Clark-Cebu Bohol Manila for our trip. Damay tuloy buong fam kay Dora May who wants to explore 😆 Our Clark Flight is at 4am and we left Manila at 12mn so as not to be late. Kaya halos no sleep. Thank God I saw that Quest has early check in and I only need to pay an additional PHP1k if we check in at 7am :) 🥰 way cheaper than booking a night ahead! We were able to catch up on sleep at around 7am or so! Yeay!!! 🩷🩷💛💛

3. Very beautiful Venue for Wedding (for non Catholic) or Renewal of Vows :)
If you want an intimate wedding overlooking the beach, do cobsider Shang Mactan! 💛💛💛 Ganduh!!!!! It is like a Mini Stella Maris Chapel the cgurch near Misibis! 🥰🩷

Side note: for family with kids, super duper fun in Shang Mactan!!!! Kids and us kid lookibg not kidding 😆😆😆) had lots of fun!!! Dami activities 3🩷🩷🩷 pool with slides, basketball and voleyvall, archery, badminton, tennis, mini golf, soccer, and many many more!!! FUN!!!!!!

BOHOL
1. no GRAB IN BOHOL (as of Oct 9 2024 😆)
I asked google and from the article I read i thought there's Grav in Bohol. So to sace time on travelling, I booked somewhere far away that is near the chocolate hills in Bohol. So that when we wake up we start at the farthesr desrinatiom ending in Panglao. Di ba makes sense? 😆 unfortubately, there is no Grab. We arrived night time and we can't ride the bus (this is doable if you arrive before 7pm to catch the bus - that woukd be fun experiencing riding a bus!!!) I found out vuti we met kuya Stephen (will add gis contact info here and fb link when I have more time :) )who adviced us fto stay in tagbilara. For the night coz the rate if we get a van to go to a place we booked is the same (aroynd 3-4k i think) as renting a van for a whole day tour starting from tagbilaran. Bye bye deposit !!!

For those who don't know yet, you can ride a super ferry in cebu to go to bohol and vice versa :)

2. SUPER NICE SIMPLE HOYEL IN TAGBILARAN
We chose to book a very simple hotel in Tagbilaran coz we just need to have place to sleep in at night coz the next day will tour in the morning. The 1st we tried, there was bobody in the counter and nobody went to assist me even if I stayed a bit.. I searched online and found Bohol Ecotel.. praying as we go there and again thank You Lordie it was super clean and budget friendly plus the foodie is yummy!!! (Ok ba rhymie?! 😆)

3. If you need a private tour, Kuya Stephen is the Best!!!
Will kwento when I have the time 😆😆

5. DUMALUAN BEACH SAND is BETTER THAN IN ALONA BEACH
I reallly want fine sand beach in Panglao and when I checked it's in Dumaluan. It's like the Boracay Station 1 Beach (where the sand is the finesr) although the resorts there are not high end like Station 1 Bora (except Bohol Beach Club). So if you prefer the peace and quiet and uncrowded veach than the vibrant alive city disci vibe (like station 2 and 3 of Boracay) then search for Resorts in Dumaluan. But ve very careful to read the reciews coz I was about to book a resort but for a family with Big luggages and kids, vehicle can't pass through. There is a stretch you need to walk downhill with trees. The staff are nice and the resort looks nice but we need to take into consideration the luggages and the kids :) 🥰

Out of curiosity (alam nyo naman si Dora May), we went to Alona Beach so I get to see how the beach is there. It's more dirty thougb there are majy restaurants there :)

6. THERE IS PANGLAO AIRPORT NA :)
Do uou know that our 1st travel ni Fordie when we got married is Cebu Bohol, and we realized when we Renewed Our Vows for our 15th year we again travelled to Cebu Bohol 😆😆 all along I thought the airport is still in Tagbilaran but it's now in Panglao na :)

7. Last Minute Pasalubong shopping at the Airport.
I wanted to buy a Lubong for Papa Rey and because we were still waiting for the Check in Counter to open, I brought na in the souvenir shop there. DON'T! wait tilll you check in and go inside, there is a Souvenir Shop there, with nicer stuffs and parang cheaper sya :) 🥰

Things to note and remember from our trip to japan (while hopefully i can still remember 😆🫠💕)

Patawa kmi. 1st family after pandemic and we chose japan 🙃 di man lng nag warm up ng mas simpleng travel 😆😆

Nabighani kasi sa cheap fare ni jetstar (around 9k+++ round trip nagoya) ... dahil napahinga ng travel ng 2 years due to pandemic ...

1. Nawala sa isip na may travel tax 1600++ per pax. And dahil 7 kmi, hay times 7 din 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️

2. Lalo na ang jrpass. Oh my gee, almost times 3 of the rate (of P7k) from our last travel in japan (2015). So additional 19k x2 plus not sure if 15k times 4 kids - buti free pa si chamie 🙏🙏)

Di lng sa addituonal cost kmi nadale, haaaaayyyy, grabe travel bringing all our luggages pagdating ng nagoya straight to tokyo!!! 🫢🫣🫨😵‍💫😱 wag na wag na wag nyo kming gayahin! Will try to share our israelites going to promised land shot 😆😆😆 imagine 6 adults, 10 kids, many luggages plus strollers changing trains, getting confused, asking around using google translate and hand and acting gestures in the wonderful world of japan rails!!! 😆😆😆

Eniweis, let's go to the things to note (hope this will also help families who would like to travel to japan 🙏💕)

1. Travel per region if possible. There are cheaper option than jrpass when you go per region. If you don't know what a jrpass is, it's an unli ride in all jr group lines - good buy sya if you use the shinkansen like from nagoya to tokyo ganern but may mas cheaper alternative i think 27k yen if you want to travel osaka to tokyo. Japan guide is very helpful re rail passes https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2357.html

2. If you plan to go to fuji, better if you are in tokyo than in nagoya. There's a tokyo wide pass that includes going to mt. Fuji. If we go back and go to fuji would like to check out ryokan and onsen overnight as an option

3. If you plan to focus on nagoya, no need to buy jrpass. It's not that useful there.

4. 10 degrees is already cold for me. My legs needs to double up if I'm wearing slacks. Wearing thick jogging pants is better.

5. My husband is the one in charge of the luggages (carrying, putting in the check in counter, getting it in the luggage carousel. That's why he does not want me to pack for the kids (i overpack, i hope i'll do better). Effective style nya. Take a bath at night and Suotin na kids what they will wear the next day. Yng innermost garment (coz we need to double triple up our clothes) can be worn as the outermost layer the next day. Vaccuuming the clothes also helped a lot in space esp winter coats (we were planning to experience snow coz our son Bentley wants to expetience it)

6. I thought we only need to wear thermal clothes for our show trip. If we will come back and weather is 10 deg or lower, it's better to wear thermal clothes as the innermost garment- kahit yng pants lng)

7. Google translate and google map are your best friends :) 😆 with navigating japan rails, esp shinkansen, you need to check the time it will depart, not just the shortezt travel time. That's why we got lost. Coz i just check the shortest time and did not consider the departure time (toink!!!)

*** 8. If you plan to go to a different region, stay 1 night at your place of arrival, preferrably in a hotel so you can leave your luggage there, be able to rest first before travelling to a different region with a smaller luggage that you need for your stay there. Don't go to a different region right away with all your luggages!!!

9. The time of travel in google map, you need to times 2 to 3 so you can take in lost time, wait time, rest eat time etc

10. It is still best to bring double stroller or 2 stroller and baby carrier when travelling. Kids really gets tired from all the walking and they need to rest in the stroller. Baby carrier helps a lot if they want us to carry them coz it takes off some of the kid's weight and frees up our hands for other things)

11. Book way way ahead of time if you are many and would like to stay in tokyo. Airbnb is cheaper than a hotell if in tokyo esp when you are a big group. Fix your itinerary right away and book airbnb asap to have better options.

12. Wherever you are, and you need to free up your hands, always put your stuffs in your bag so as not to leave anything behind)

Learning the train system in japan is confusing at first but when you get to figure it out, like with me and my husband, we'd like to go back and excited to take on the challenge of japan trains :) :) 🥰🩷 para syang game that you'd like to conquer 🥰💕

POPPING IN TO SAY HI! =)
I'm sorry i wasn't able to pop in much to say hi and make you smile and be a blessing :) but now i commit to pray for you who reads this and liked not only My Travel Delight page, but my other pages as well :) God has been good as He always have been. i just need to grow more (living, loving and growing takes much of my time) so i can share more =) especially here in Travel Delight, travel tips of the places ive been to. I wanted to share with you reviews of station 1 resorts in Boracay (station 1 has always been my fave place in bora and im not yet in the stage i want to discover other areas - ive already stayed in station 2 and 3 and a lot of times in station 1 coz it's my fave :) before, it was just this 3 but now there's station 0, station x, bulabog (i know for sure i don't want to stay here but go here for activities when kids are bigger :), puka beach area (i remember during the earliest times i visited bora where seair is the only small plane that can go there, and little ice coming out of their aircon - halecon! hehehe :p) we went to this remote beach part of bora with puka shells and vendors and small huts selling puka shells (sorry not sure with the spelling of puca) :p and now it became crimson hotel at station 0 and another resort, i'm not sure if it's shangrila boracay. I also remember going there on a tipid trip (coz i was a gk full time worker at that time) to attend the singles for christ international leader's conference riding a bus, roro boat and small banca) and witnessing the early construction of shangri-la boracay. I remember celebrating our 1st, 2nd, 10th year anniversary in boracay (all station 1- told you it's my fave :)) , attending a sosi wedding at discovery shores boracay, going with friends, going with cousin friends, and a lot going with mencias family :) :) and it was all fun! Whew wait, like a girl brain going everywhere my story went everywhere (hope your amused than confused, hehe) eniweis back to me wanting to make a review of hennan prime and lind boracay coz that's where we went last year (hope my sharp anesthesia mind could still remember it :p). I also want to share tips of our trip to shanghai and loving shanghai disney and also astoria palawan. i hope i can still remember and be able to do so these following days. I just want to pop in and say hi!

Aside from that, i know i do this business coz i'm having fun! Doing this makes me happy and gives me delight :) i remember a friend asking me i'm not sure how she said it, on why i did this business when there's so many promo deals out there. And i know there are a lot! But i continue because 1. Im having fun, i enjoy doing this and being of service and 2. i know my niche :) i'm not here to compete with lots of cheap packages (though i also offer that but I make sure the accomodations are good and I give a review to my client so they know what to expect). Rather, i want to SERVE THOSE WHO WANTS TO TRAVEL WITH EXTRA LOVE AND CARE. it pains me that people, especially balikbayans, getting a cheap deal but get dismayed with accomodation they're staying at. Or the tour. The Philippines is so beautiful and they don't get to experience this beauty always. Travel Delight is here to make sure our clients' accomodation is their choice not based only on the price, but also on the photos and reviews we researched and presented to them. We want to know what they like doing and find the best tours that they will enjoy the most. We want to know who they are with to see what type of schedule will best fit them (like we have lots of kids and a super packed schedule of packaged tours are not for us). Or, when you are with Senior Citizens, to make sure your accomodation is PWD Friendly and that it is better to include rest in the itinerary. In Travel Delight, we want to be your Travel Angels, making you feel loved and cared for!!! =) =) =)

FEATURE OF THE WEEK: CORON
OUR FAMILY TRAVEL TO CORON :)
We celebrated my 14th (ahem! ubo! ubo! hehe) birthday in Coron, Palawan coz i love to travel and want to go somewhere i haven't been yet.
But, i know we can't do the usual package tour coz we have lots of young kids and we don't like rushing from one place to another. itis not also best for us to climb lots of stairs to see the clearest lake. so i created our own itinerary which is relaxed, what the kids (and kid at heart parents) would enjoy doing together :) we stayed at club paradise for our 1st 3 nights coz it looks beautiful there and they have a package at that time for a 3 day 2 nights stay :) there the boys saw a pawikan (turtle) swimming in the beach with them. they enjoyed swimming at the pool and playing at the sand in the beach :) i remember i made a review about club paradise in tripadvisor. here's the link:

after Club Paradise, we stayed at La Estancia Busuanga so our travel to Calauit Safari will be shorter (we don't need to wake up at 4am :) had so much fun there and grilled the longest bbq stick (with pork bbq of course) :) here's the review i made for La Estancia :)

finally we went to calauit safari where giraffes , zebras and other animals freely roam :) boys had lots of fun feeding the giraffes! :)

LOCAL FEATURE FOR THE WEEK: CORON :)

So, today, I set out to experience some of the most iconic attractions just off shore.

As far as boat tours go in Coron, there’s a ton of different operators and you can negotiate price right here at the market where the captain’s start each morning.

You can jump on a group tour starting at about $20 bucks; which usually includes food and snorkel gear - but I decided to rent a private boat to take my time and go where I wanted.

For this option, I negotiated a price of about $50 US dollars.

1. Our first goal for the day is to visit what’s said to be the cleanest and clearest lake in all of Asia - KAYANGAN LAKE

The next stop on our voyage is to another famous spot called the Twin Lagoons - Two absolutely breathtaking shallow saltwater lagoons that are connected by an underwater channel and narrow rock pathway.

One of the best aspects choosing the private tour is that when you get hungry, you can stop whenever and wherever you want.

Barracuda Lake, I’m told, is normally the least crowded of the three stops. Most groups skip this spot because to experience it’s true uniqueness, you really need to scuba dive.

It’s actually a brackish lake which means it’s a mix of salt and fresh water.

I’m told that until you reach about 14 meters down it’s a cool, clear freshwater and then after that it turns into a warm salt water.

Unfortunately, I was pressed for time, so I just explored the incredible underwater rock formations and met the little creatures who live here.

and despite the name, I didn’t spot any barracudas.

Back on dry land I rush up the 700 plus steps to Mt. Tapyas for sunset, and to get a nice view of town from above.

Maquinit Hot Springs is one of the very few saltwater hot springs in the world. it’s a 30-minute tricycle ride from the town proper of Coron along a rough, curvy road.

It’s said that the water gets heated by a volcano and springs up into the two-tiered pool all surrounded by a cool wooded area, dotted with picnic tables and some relaxing mood lighting.

The water’s pretty hot, so coming at night, when it’s a little cooler outside was a good choice.

I’m glad I’m able to sneak in last minute, and it was a great spot to finish a perfect day here in Coron, Philippines.

Hi everyone! happy saturday!! :) hope this sharing will help you in your travel with the cutest most adorable bundle in your family! :)
when you travel (or about to travel) with a baby do you:
◇ bring a sterilizer
◇ portable collapsible bath tub? :)
i remember doing so with our 1st 2 kids :) :) good thing my husband is a master in simplifying things (coz im a queen of making things creative! hahaha!) and making our luggage lighter :) maybe because he is the one carrying our stuffs? hmmmm 🤔😄😆🤣
eniweis here's what we do:
◇ instead of bringing a sterilizer, we use the hotel's water heater (max heat) to sterilize the bottles 2-3 times after cleaning them. coz boiling water removes germs :) :)
◇ i remember buying a cute (but a bit expensive) summer travel tub. but you know what also works? :) using the hotel room's sink! :) look at it, it even looks like baby's bath tub right?! :)
