Mansur ibn Mansur after realizing the need of an engineering practice to cater the professional design and engineering requirements of religious (namely but not restricted to places of w
orship, churches, chapels, mosques, etc.) and institutional (namely but not restricted to orphanage, clinics, hospitals, schools, relocation centers, etc.) projects of charity and humanitarian inclination. It started as a concept of sharing one’s professional practice thru charity and volunteer with a simple phrase in mind, “why would I ask for a payment if the project is for a good and noble cause and non-profit, especially if it’s a place of worship? The objective is to gain the mercy of the Almighty Creator and inshaAllah be rewarded if not in this world, the hereafter would be much better”. Armed with only skills and experience, plus the trust in Allah that the ikhlas (purity) of ibadah (act of worship), ARKAN Pilipinas which is just a dream came into reality on November of 2013 with the support from an old friend in public office – a licensed Mechanical Engineer, another Architect and a Civil Engineer both male professionals from private practice, who maintained their identity to be kept anonymous from public in order to protect the ikhlas of their intentions. Working independently and without any secular, political, or any outside pressure, ARKAN Pilipinas; a once four-person team of dreamers, expanded thru volunteers with the same vision and intention – to please the Almighty Creator thru charity works and ibadah and not just by monetary gains or claim to fame…. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. On January of 2014, ARKAN Pilipinas became IIGC’s Engineering and Technical support wing. And now under the United Dawah Centers of Luzon [UDCL] umbrella, the network of support being reached by ARKAN Pilipinas stretched unimaginably on design, technical and construction support for free and share the zakat/sadaqah al jariyah to anyone who volunteers fi sabilillah. After more than a year, the demand on ARKAN Pilipinas is ever growing, the group needed to be fully organized and flexible to accommodate these needs. Reaching out to the same core group which put up the Islamic Information and Guidance Center [IIGC], ARKAN Pilipinas with its effort to maintain and continuously support people and organization’s needs, made a combined effort and in good faith thru Brother Abdullah Rivera, Ustadz Umar Negroprado, Brother Abu Adam Posada, and Brother Fareed Tizon to establish an organized rapid response team. Amidst trials and tribulations that threatened ARKAN Pilipinas of breaking up, the remaining member/s who still holds on to the ideology that “the rewards of charity is far better than the gains and value of monetary”, stood their ground and braved the storms of negative reviews and publicity thrown at them…. and on August 2015, ARKAN Pilipinas needed to undergo a thorough and massive reconstruction of its administrative core group. The Founder of ARKAN Pilipinas – Bro. Mansur ibn Mansur, solicited the help of Brother Yasser Abdullah Banao, Brother Abdul Malik del Pilar, and Sister Malaikah Larioza to temporarily form the transition core group while the administrative body is undergoing a critical change. Due to health condition/s and unforeseen personal circumstances, Abu Mansoor was appointed to step up as an interim Chairman of ARKAN Pilipinas and Yasser Banao was appointed Chaplain of ARKAN Pilipinas. With this regard, any transactions and appointments shall only be made valid thru personal and first hand communication with either Abu Mansoor and Mansur ibn Mansur or Yasser Banao. Any other means (thru people representing themselves as ARKAN Pilipinas, may have been connected or either way connected to ARKAN Pilipinas and any of its members, will not be honored and rendered invalid. Especially on transactions that involves soliciting, donations, and/or any other matters involving financial, monetary, or physical manifestation of any means in exchange of ARKAN Pilipinas’ services. Any obligations, may it be legal or financial; that will be directed to ARKAN Pilipinas in connection with unauthorized transactions made on its behalf will be charged on the person or entity’s capacity who made his own personal unauthorized dealings and transaction, ARKAN Pilipinas will not be held liable or accountable on such dealings. ARKAN Pilipinas does not and will never tolerate persons or entities using its name and integrity for their own personal gains and agendas. Any information with regards such persons and entities entering unauthorized transactions on our behalf, please do not hesitate to inform us. ARKAN Pilipinas maintains its stand and will forever do so in rendering professional services without any monetary gains by helping those who are in need on their design and engineering requirements. ARKAN Pilpinas is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, non-secular, and non-partisan group who is committed to render services by realizing the words of Uthman ibn Affan R.A. “Your charity is not accepted until you believe. We need the reward more the beggar needs the money.”
