Wet Season in the Maldives runs from May to October; it is commonly referred to by many as the low or off-peak period. During this time, skies are cloudier. And for visitors who live far from the equator, these months are not a popular choice because they prefer to have more hours in the sun. Moreover, it does not usually coincide with their wintery holidays.
But for most of us, Filipinos, who are accustomed to similar weather patterns, the LOW SEASON in the Maldives can be the PERFECT TIME to go on a HOLIDAY GETAWAY. It is ideal and suitable for guests who do not mind some rainfall during their stay or prefer a cloudy weather with just a few hours of solid sunshine. Downpours are sometimes sporadically intense but clears quickly late in the afternoon, bringing sunny or partly cloudy skies.
