This is our very own giant Taklobo sanctuary situated in Brgy. Adecor-Samal Island, Davao del Norte and it houses a Marine Sanctuary with over 3,700 giant clams. It is commonly called as Genus Tridacna and one of the largest living bivalve mollusks, that it can weigh up to 200kg each with a width of 1.2 meters.

The giant Taklobos are environmental indicators that signal a healthy marine environment and helps filter the ocean.

Travels promotes this tour as one of our way in supporting the eco-tourism program. To continue the conservation of the endangered giant Taklobos.💚

The Giant Clam Sanctuary is under the protection of Davao del Norte State College in partnership with the local community (AdeCor United Fisherfolks Organization-ACUFOR).
