on Sports Scuba Diving (PCSSD) hosts the World DEEP (Dive Expo and Exhibition Philippines) in Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines. Converging on the scenic Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa, site of the 20th ASEAN Summit in 2006, is the Elective General Assembly (EGA) of the prestigious Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), also known as the World Underwater Federation, the organization responsible in trending the movement of underwater activities around the globe, the PAUA and the PCSSD, both esteemed organizations, has decided to coincide the World DEEP with the CMAS EGA which will expect to generate about 150 federation leaders from all over the world. These federation leaders are endorsed by their respective National Governments and are the ones responsible to dictate movement of underwater activities in their jurisdictions. It is very timely to organize the World DEEP since it already has a very impressive captured market. The World DEEP also aims to highlight the tourism value of the CMAS EGA and to involve the much-awaiting Philippine dive industry who has been clamoring for action in the international dive scene. This event will not only expose the Philippines as an excellent international venue for underwater activities but it will also incite motion to the dormant dive community in the country. The World Dive Expo and Exhibition Philippines (World DEEP) aims to achieve the following objectives:

• To highlight world-class Philippine diving destinations known around the world
• To showcase and expose to the Filipino community never-been-seen-in-the country dive equipment by noteworthy manufacturers and suppliers who have not yet penetrated the Asian and Philippine market’s consciousness
• To showcase the Filipino’s professionalism in organizing world-events
• To unify the fast growing global dive community
• To activate and inspire the dormant local dive community
• To learn from the best-practices in diving from the international community
• To put to the limelight other alternative underwater activities through clinics and seminars

World DEEP will be staged from the 18th to the 21st of April 2013 at the renowned Marquee of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, which was venue to the 20th ASEAN Summit in 2006. Apart from the exhibits which will be open to the public, World DEEP will also provide venue for bilateral talks, business meetings, exchanges and interactions among participants. World DEEP is deemed to be a highly interactive opportunity for new genial and business relationships.
