NAIA IS STILL ONE OF THE WORST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS IN THE WORLD!

Our Off-load Experience

Feb 24, 2023

7:15pm we arrived at NAIA Terminal 3.
7:30pm we are done with our check-in with United Airlines (UA192) flight to Palau.

After this, we decided to have a quick dinner at Shakey's Pizza.

8:30pm we started to line-up at the BOI Philippine Passport Holder.

*there were only 3 counters open that time which assist hundreds of passengers.

9:10pm I decided to talk to one of the BOI officer if they can assist us because our flight is at 10:40pm. The officer told me to go back to our line and wait for the airline crew to assist us.

9.40pm we are still in the middle of the BOI Line and there is still no one from United Airlines staff checking for passengers.

10:10pm we are still in the middle of the line. I decided again to go to one of the BOI officer and ask for help. I still got the same answer from them.

10.15pm there was no assistance came so I decided to go to the Check-in counter of United Airlines and ask for help. Jaz, one of the staff, was tasked to assist us.

10:18pm One of my friend who was already at the gate told me that it was boarding already.

With the assistance of Jaz, my friend Fabi pass through first from the BOI, after that it was Tony and then Chevy.

Now it was my turn. There were some questions by the BOI officer which I easily answered. But one thing that he said caught my attention:

"Dapat 5 hours before the flight kayo andito, hindi na uso yung 2 hours before flight! Busy na ulit ang airport."
*you should be here 5 hours before your flight and not 2 hours. Airport now is very busy again.

(Seryoso ka dyan kuya sa sinasabi mo?)

10.40pm After the BOI, i pass through the x-ray and then Jaz told me that i am already off-loaded. That I didn't make it to the boarding time.

I think that there should be a coordination between the ground crew and those who are the gate that some passengers are stucked at the airport. 4 of us were offloaded.

I talked to the supervisor but the only thing that they can offer is to rebook us on the next flight which will be on Tuesday.

They keep on blaming each other, the BOI and the Airline. There were no proper coordination between the 2 on how they can solve this kind of problem.

And i also found out that there were so many people got offloaded today.

We never heared our names announced in the P.A system.

The only time that the staff of United Airlines assisted us when i approached them.

We didn't expect this kind of service from United Airlines. They are so reactive.

NOW I UNDERSTAND MORE WHY NAIA IS CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE WORST AIRPORTS IN THE WORLD.
