Acquiring Chinese Visa: 🇨🇳

First Time Chinese Visa Applicant –

A) Bank Certificate of Deposit Balance(including the past 6 months bank statement) and the receipt for payment of this certificate;
Take note!!! 6mos po required na bank statement.

B) BIR-stamped Income Tax Return Form;( so far, sa akin wala siya stamped, tinaggap naman nila)

C) Certificate of Employment(detailing the salary and the length of employment );

D) Business Registration Certificate(if you are the owner);

E) Professional ID/Student ID (if applicable);

F) Other relevant documents proving the applicant's economic condition/ employment/study, or supporting the applicant's travel to China, or explaining the travel purpose (if applicable);

2)Previous Chinese Visa – If you had obtained a Chinese visa before, you should submit a photocopy of the visa, and if the visa is on your old passport, you should also submit the old passport.

3) Non-Filipino Nationals – Please submit proof of residence permit, employment or study in the Philippines. Temporary visitors to the Philippines should apply for Chinese visas from the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in the countries in which they live, unless the applicant can provide proof of employment/study or other occupational status and the visa officer will make the final decision on a case-by-case basis. You must also submit a photocopy of the Philippine visa/immigration entry stamp on your passport.

4) Certificate of Name Change – If the name in the new passport is different from that in the original one, the official document (birth certificate/marriage contract) issued by authorities for name change must be submitted.

5) Original Chinese Passport – First-time applicant whose former nationality was Chinese, or who was born in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), need to submit the original Chinese passport and a photocopy of the passport's information/photo page, and extension page (if applicable). You do not need to submit income tax return form and bank statement.

6) Visa Application Form ( dapat A4 size). saka recent 48mm x 33mm colored photo with white background, glued to the designated space on the application form. Don't tape, clip, or staple the picture.

7) Travel Itinerary

Sometimes, the embassy also asks for NBI Clearance and a valid government issued ID such as SSS, GSIS, LTO, TIN and COMELEC ID. So better magpa photocopy ka na din para sure at hindi ka pabalik balik. Then bring the original copy na din just in case i-check nila.

If you are self-employed: provide your Business Documents such as DTI, SEC, BIR, ITR, Audited Financial Statement, government issued ID such as LTO, SSS or COMELEC and Bank Certificate with Official Receipt or original passbook updated within the month you are applying.

If you are being invited by someone in China, you need to provide a: Letter of Invitation, photo copy of Chinese Residence Visa and passport bio-page or Chinese National Identity Card, proof if financial capacity of the inviter and proof of kinship (if applies). Sometimes, the Chinese Embassy requires that these documents will either be authenticated or notarized.

For those who are unemployed, you need to provide a proof of financial capacity such as remittances and Bank Certificate with Official Receipt or original passbook updated within the month you are applying or other documents showing your financial capacity.

❗️❗️❗️Note that the Chinese Embassy in Manila only accepts applications from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. The releasing of passport whether or not a visa is granted is from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. It is important that you arrive early in order to avoid the long queues.

Payment of visa is also on the day of release. The visa processing regularly takes four (4) working days. For express service, an additional fee of $20 is charged for a second or third working day release. For those who want a same working day releasing, a fee of $30 is charged.

FYI. Effective June 17, Korean embassy will no longer accept eligibility of Japan Visa as frequent travelers to OECD member countries. Hence, those who travelled only to japan will also be required to submit copy of ITR.

This is due to the detected several cases of fake japan visa and/or fake arrival stamp to japan in an attempt of the visa applicants to deceive the Embassy as if they have travelled to Japan. .

The Embassy will be requesting for investigation on the matter to the relevant Philippine authorities. Since similar cases are expected, visa screening will be strengthened as well
