The La Union Provincial Tourism Office conducted the Abel Academy on November 25-27, 2024, a weaving workshop where cultural bearers of Bangar, La Union taught the youth the traditional techniques of Abel weaving. This hands-on activity bridged generations to ensure the craftโ€™s survival and inspire pride in our LUcal heritage.

Through this initiative, participants gained skills and a deeper appreciation for Inabel fabric as a symbol of our history and identity. The workshop empowered the next generation to preserve and revitalize this cultural tradition to safeguard its sustainability.

LOVE La Union Tourism Page is an online tourist information assistance and promotions platform of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) managed by the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO).

LOVE La Union is the provinceโ€™s official tourism brand as it brings in the ideals of the reinvigorated dynamism for tourism in the Province of La Union. The multitude of colors in the LOVE La Union logo exudes vibrancy and luster, reflective of La Unionโ€™s vivid aspiration to attract influxes of tourists. The bursting of hues also speaks of the many exciting things to live, own, visit, and enjoy in La Union โ€“ the pristine natural and man-made wonders as well as the rich culture and heritage which lie within its 19 municipalities and 1 city.

Although La Union takes pride in having the label as the โ€œSurfing Capital in the Northโ€, the province is also keen on promoting its agri-tourism potentials as it takes off to becoming the โ€œHeart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025โ€.
