The La Union Provincial Tourism Office conducted the Abel Academy on November 25-27, 2024, a weaving workshop where cultural bearers of Bangar, La Union taught the youth the traditional techniques of Abel weaving. This hands-on activity bridged generations to ensure the craftโ€™s survival and inspire pride in our LUcal heritage.

Through this initiative, participants gained skills and a deeper appreciation for Inabel fabric as a symbol of our history and identity. The workshop empowered the next generation to preserve and revitalize this cultural tradition to safeguard its sustainability.
