The Gunna Chwmos (big festival ) winter festival the people of Kalash do several rituals because they believe this festival is the biggest sacred and pure festival. According to Kalash elders, their prayers are accepted during Cewmos and the entire coming year depends on it. it starts on 7th December to 22rd December, every year in kalash valleys its start from Rumbor valley the end is in Bumborate valley.

Happy Poo Festival to all kalash community

Pool festival ( also known as a Poo festival) is celebrated from 12 October to 15 October. It is a kalash religious festival that is only celebrated in Birir valley where they perform their religious rituals.

Every year the Kalash community of Chitral celebrates its annual two-day colorful Kalash 'Poo' festival with traditional fervor in the Kalash Valley. Poo festival is one of the four festivals that the community celebrates every Year. Community people decorate their heads with flowers, sing songs in the local language and perform traditional dances during the 3-day Poo festival.

During this festival old women prepare traditional hats decorated with flowers and put these colorful hats on the heads of young girls who reach the age of 10 years while men and youths participate fully in the celebrations.The festival begins with males going to the altar for prayers, and then they visit fields to collect fruits and grains while singing songs and performing traditional dances. After that they get together in a place and perform cultural dance.

The purpose of the Poo festival is to express gratitude to God for the bountiful summer and the blessings of fruits and cereals. Before the festival, people in the Birir Valley abstain from consuming fruits and cereals, and in the past, severe punishments were imposed on those who broke this tradition. However, after celebrating the festival, they can once again enjoy fruits and cereals.This ancient religious festival, is still celebrated in Birir valley with full of zeals. Every year tourists all over the world come to this area.

In November 2018, the Kalasha culture was listed as 'Intangible Cultural Heritage' by UNESCO

Through sustainable tourism development, we can not only ensure preservation and protection of indigenous cultures in South Asia, but we can also ensure that tourism activities benefits and contributes to local livelihood.

Old women prepare traditional hats decorated with flowers and put these colorful hats on the heads of young girls who reach the age of 10 years while men and youths participate fully in the celebrations.
The ancient religious festival Pao (Pool) was celebrated in the Kailash valley of Chitral. A large number of domestic and foreign tourists have also visited the Kailash valley for the festival. The Pao (Pool) festival ends with the performance of various rituals including traditional dance. .

Tourists from all over the country come to this area to witness the Po festival. Kailash tribe along with their religious rituals celebrate the Po festival in the Kailash valley from 12th October to 15th October every year

جاپان کے مشہور کوہ پیماؤں نے ضلع چترال میں واقع ہندوکش پہاڑی سلسلے کی سب سے اونچی چوٹی ترچ میر کو سر کر لیا ہے۔
خیبر پختونخوا کے ضلع چترال میں واقع اس چوٹی کو لگ بھگ 22 برس بعد سر کیا گیا ہے۔ تین جاپانی کوہ پیماؤں نے منگل کی رات کو ترچ میر کو سر کیا۔
کوہ پیما ہیرادی کزونیا کی ٹیم میں دو مرد اور ایک خاتون شامل تھیں جن کے ہمراہ چترال کے مقامی کوہ پیماہ صاحب عالم بھی تھے.کوہ پیما تریچمیر پہاڑ سر کرنے کے بعد تریچمیر ویو ہوٹل چترال میں ٹھیرے ہین.

سکردو آنے والے سیاح یہ تحریر ضرور پڑھ لیں_❤

سکردو گلگت بلتستان کے ایک شہر کا نام ہے لیکن مقامی سیاحتی انڈسٹری میں سکردو سے مراد بلتستان کے چار ضلعے اور ضلع استور کو شامل کیا جاتا ہے۔ گلگت بلتستان جانے والے سیاح یا تو ہنزہ کا رخ کرتے ہیں یا سکردو کا۔
اسی لئے گلگت بلتستان ٹور کو دو حصوں میں تقسیم کیا جاتا ہے :
1: سکردو ٹور
2: ہنزہ ٹور
ہنزہ ٹور جگلوٹ سے شروع ہو کر خنجراب ٹاپ پر ختم ہو جاتا ہے جبکہ سکردو ٹور جگلوٹ سے شروع ہو کر ایک طرف کے ٹو دوسری طرف سیاچن اور تیسری طرف دیوسائی سے ہوتا ہوا منی مرگ پر ختم ہو جاتا ہے۔ اگر جہاز کے ذریعے سکردو کا سفر کریں تو سکردو شہر سے تمام سیاحتی مقامات تک جانے کے لیئے ہر قسم کی گاڑیاں مل جاتی یے۔ بائی روڈ سکردو کا سفر شاہراہ بابوسر اور قراقرم ہائی کے بعد جگلوٹ سے شروع ہوتا ہے۔ جگلوٹ سے سکردو تک بہترین سڑک بن گئی ہے نئے شاہراہ کا نام جگلوٹ سکردو روڈ سے بدل کر شاہراہ بلتستان رکھ دیا ہے۔۔
استور، گانچھے(وادی خپلو)، کھرمنگ اور شگر جانے کیلے بھی سکردو سے روٹ لے سکتے ہیں۔
سکردو ٹور میں درج ذیل سیاحتی مقامات شامل ہیں۔

1: ضلع سکردو
ضلع سکردو روندو وادی سے شروع ہوتا ہے اور سرمک کے مقام پر ختم ہوجاتا ہے۔
سکردو شہر گلگت بلتستان کا سب سے بڑا شہر ہے اس شہر میں گلگت بلتستان کے ہر ضلعے سے بغرض روزگار لوگ آباد ہیں۔ اس شہر میں شیعہ ، نوربخشی ،سنی، اسماعلیلی، اہل حدیث ہر فرقے کے لوگ پر امن زندگی بسر کرتے ہیں۔ سکردو اس پورے علاقے کا تجارتی مرکز بھی ہے۔سکردو میں گلگت بلتستان کا واحد انٹرنیشنل ائیرپورٹ بھی موجود ہے۔ پاکستان انٹرنیشنل ائیر لائن روزانہ پروازیں اسلام آباد، لاہور اور کراچی سے چلاتی ہے ۔ پچھلے سال سے سیالکوٹ فیصل آباد اور ملتان سے بھی پروازوں کا آغآز ہوچکا ہے۔

ضلع گانچھے کریس سے شروع ہوتا ہے اور سیاچن گلیشئر پر ختم ہوتا ہے ۔ ضلع گانچھے کو وادی خپلو بھی کہا جاتا ہے ۔ ضلع گانچھے بلند ترین پہاڑوں اور گلیشیئرز کی وجہ سے پوری دنیا میں مشہور ہے۔ دنیا کی بلند ترین مہاز جنگ سیاچن اسی ضلع میں واقع ہے اس کے علاوہ قراقرم کے بلند ترین پہاڑوں جیسے کے ٹو، گشہ بروم ، براڈپیک۔ اور مشہ بروم سے کوہ پیما واپسی پر اسی ضلع کی وادی ہوشے کا روٹ استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ یہ ڈسٹرکٹ خوبصورتی میں اپنی مثال آپ ہے۔

ZIG ZAGS of LOWARI PASS
Lowari Pass (or Lowari Top) (el. 10,230 ft.) is a high mountain pass that connects Chitral with Dir in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Lowari Top is a relatively low pass, by far the lowest pass to enter Chitral, the rest all being 12,000 to 15,000 feet.
Lowari Top is closed by snow from late November to late May every year. During this time, jeeps cannot cross so men must travel by foot. This is dangerous, as there are high mountains on each side of Lowari Top, and a deadly avalanche can come at any moment without warning.
Every winter a few persons are killed by avalanches while crossing Lowari Top. Their bodies are buried under the snow and it is only when the summer comes and the snow melts that their bodies are found and their fate learned.
Nevertheless, Lowari Top remains popular because it is the shortest route from Chitral to Peshawar. The other way would be down theKunar River to Jalalabad through hostile Afghan Territory or the much longer route across Shandur Top to Gilgit.
Lowari Top crosses the Hindu Raj Mountains, a spur of the higher Hindu Kush. On the Chitral side of Lowari Top are the people of Ashret, who speak the Phalura language and were assigned by the Mehtar of Chitral to be the guardians of Lowari Top.
On the Dir side reside Gujjars, some of whom make their living as porters carrying loads across Lowari Top.
In 1954, the Mehtar of Chitral was killed when his airplane crashed into Lowari Top. Even today, PIA pilots often turn back because of winds and fear of crossing Lowari Top.
The word "Top" is believed not to be the English word "top" but a word from an ancient language no longer spoken there.
The Lowari Top is one of the four major mountain passes to enter Chitral. The others are the Dorah Pass from Badakshan in Afghanistan,Shandur Top from Gilgit, and Broghol from the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan.
The Lowari Tunnel is currently being constructed beneath Lowari Pass by a Korean company
