تمہیں پتا ہے کہ ہمیں اتنی گرمی کیوں لگتی ہے
پرانے زمانوں میں اتنی نہیں لگتی تھی لیکن اب زیادہ لگتی ہے کیونکہ ہم معزز ہو گئے ہیں

پہلے نہ ائرکنڈیشنر تھے نہ ریفریجریٹر
نہ آئسکریم اور پنکھے بھی کم کم تھے ہمارے بزرگ دھوتی پہن کر شیشم کے درخت تلے چارپائی پر بیٹھ کر پنکھیاں جھولتے مزے‏سے دوپہریں گزار دیتے تھے

ہم خود بچپن اور جوانی میں گرمی کو انجوائے کرتے تھے،ایک تربوز خرید کر لاہور کی نہر میں نہاتے اور تربوز کو بھی نہلاتے تھے اور پھر وہ یخ ہو جاتا تو اس کا لنچ کیا کرتے تھے اب چونکہ ہم معزز ہوچکے ہیں اس لئے ایسا نہیں کر سکتے
