The Archaeological Ruins at Moenjodaro are the best preserved urban settlement in South Asia dating back to the beginning of the 3rd millennium BC, and exercised a considerable influence on the subsequent development of urbanization. The archaeological ruins are located on the right bank of the Indus River, 510 km north-east from Karachi, and 28 km from Larkana city, Larkana District in Pakistan’s Sindh Province. The property represents the metropolis of Indus civilization, which flourished between 2,500-1,500 BC in the Indus valley and is one of the world’s three great ancient civilizations.

The discovery of Moenjodaro in 1922 revealed evidence of the customs, art, religion and administrative abilities of its inhabitants. The well planned city mostly built with baked bricks and having public baths; a college of priests; an elaborate drainage system; wells, soak pits for disposal of sewage, and a large granary, bears testimony that it was a metropolis of great importance, enjoying a well organized civic, economic, social and cultural system.

Moenjodaro comprises two sectors: a citadel area in the west where the Buddhist stupa was constructed with unbaked brick over the ruins of Moenjodaro in the 2nd century AD, and to the east, the lower city ruins spread out along the banks of the Indus. Here buildings are laid out along streets intersecting each other at right angles, in a highly orderly form of city planning that also incorporated systems of sanitation and drainage.

The Shah Jahan Mosque, also known as the Jamia Masjid of Thatta, is a 17th century building that serves as the central mosque for the city of Thatta, in the Pakistani province of Sindh. The mosque was built from 1644 to 1647 during the reign of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who bestowed it to the city as a token of gratitude. The mosque is considered to have the most elaborate display of tile work in South Asia, and is also notable for its geometric brick work - a decorative element that is unusual for Mughal-period mosques. The Shah Jahan Mosque's architectural style is overtly influenced by Turkic and Persian styles. The mosque is characterized by extensive brickwork and the use of blue tiles, both of which were directly influenced by Timurid architectural styles from Central Asia. The mosque is famous with its beautiful architecture with red bricks and blue colored glaze tiles probably imported from another Sindh's town of Hala. The mosque has overall 100 domes and it is world’s largest mosque having such number of domes. It has been built keeping acoustics in mind. A person speaking inside one end of the dome can be heard at the other end. It has been on the tentative UNESCO World Heritage list since 1993.

Mohenjo-daro 'Mound of the Dead Men' is an archaeological site in Larkana District, Sindh, Pakistan. Built c. 2500 BCE, it was the largest settlement of the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation, and one of the world's earliest major cities, contemporaneous with the civilizations of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Minoan Crete, and Norte Chico.
With an estimated population of at least 40,000 people, Mohenjo-daro prospered for several centuries, but by c. 1700 BCE had been abandoned, along with other large cities of the Indus Valley Civilization.

The site was not rediscovered until the 1920s. Significant excavation has since been conducted at the site of the city, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980, the first site in South Asia to be so designated. The site is currently threatened by erosion and improper restoration.

The Chaukhandi tombs are situated 29 km east of karachi, sindh province of Pakistan. The tombs are notable for their elaborate sandstone carvings.
The tombs here are way divided into two parts. The number of graves is low in the eastern part and very high in the western part. The locals say that in the eastern part there are graves of Jokhio tribe while in the western part there are graves of Baloch people. They were mostly built during Mughal emperors rule dating back to the 15th and 18th centuries when Islam became a dominant religion.

The Chaukhandi Cemetery is a masterpiece of architecture and sculpture and is historically one of the most important cemeteries in Pakistan. All the tombs here are made of more sandstone. Rectangular tombs are usually two and a half feet wide, five feet long and four to six feet high. The tombs are regularly carved.

The tombs feature painting, flowers, various designs, headbands, motifs, mounted horsemen, hunting scenes, and latticework similar to the crowns of Egyptian kings. Moreover, the tall domes have been erected on some tombs, indicating that ordinary people are not buried in the Chaukhandi cemetery. The tombs are beautifully elaborate with sandstone carvings.

Men’s graves are marked with swordsmanship, horsemanship and swords, daggers, etc., while women’s graves are decorated with beautiful ornaments.
