Climate Change & Plastic Pollution: A Dual Crisis

1. Climate Impact: Climate change brings rising temperatures, erratic weather, and biodiversity loss. COP27 aimed to compensate vulnerable nations for climate-induced damage.

2. Plastic Predicament: Rampant single-use plastic usage leads to environmental, social, and health issues. Uncontrolled plastic waste could flood oceans with plastic by 2050.

3. Gilgit-Baltistan Challenge: Tourism boosts the economy but adds to plastic pollution. Pakistan faces a plastic waste crisis with marine life and health consequences.

4. Urgent Action: WWF-Pakistan and others address plastic pollution, yet more is needed. Local projects, like the Green Businesses initiative, promote eco-friendly solutions.

5. Collective Response: Society, industries, and governments must collaborate for sustainable solutions against plastic pollution and climate change. A healthier future depends on our actions.
