Kanchanaburi is a town in west Thailand. It’s known for the Death Railway, built during WWII. The line crosses over the River Khwae Yai via the Death Railway Bridge. Displays at the JEATH War Museum honor the prisoners of war who died building the bridge. The Thailand–Burma Railway Centre explores the wider history of the railway. Nearby, thousands of Allied soldiers are buried at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery.

Hapakun to Tagaphari 3300M (2-3 hours, 3km, 450m ascent) – a steep trail continues from Hapakun to Rakaposhi Base Camp, also known as Tagaphari. The trail eases off and contours the rocky slope for 30 minutes to a verdant bowl. You can have the view of Diran Peak, Rakaposhi and their interconnecting ice wall and finally come into full view. After reaching Tagaphari can climb the ridge to have nice view of Hunza Valley and mountains. Rakaposhi base camp trek is one of the best adventures in Pakistan

Trekking to Nanga Parbat base camp....it takes one drive from Gilgit to Raikot Bridge, from here another journey of trill starts by jeep which take two hours to reach at mid point. Now trekking starts here and takes 3 hours to Fairy Meadows. Fairy Meadows is a beautiful place have many huts with all mandatory facilities. In the early morning you can continue trekking towards base camp that takes four hours....on the way there is Bayal camp to take rest and refreshments....

Kargah Buddha is an archaeological site located about 6 miles outside of Gilgit, Gilgit−Baltistan, Pakistan. It is a carved image of a large standing Buddha, some 50 ft high, in the cliff-face in Kargah Nala. The carving, which is in a style also found in Baltistan, is estimated to date back to the 7th century.

Today is the last day in Pakistan....we had domestic flight from Gilgit to Islamabad and enjoyed day trip to Murree. Murree is a mountain resort city, located in the Galyat region of the Pir Panjal Range, within the Murree District of Punjab, Pakistan. It forms the outskirts of the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area, and is about 30 km northeast of Islamabad. It has average altitude of 2,291 metres. The British built this town during their rule to escape the scorching heat in the plains of Punjab during the summer.
There is much more to enjoy in Murree the cool weather, Walk through alpine forests and wheelchair lift make it fantastic....
