Dr. Saba Munawar who completed her PhD in Computational Sciences under the great mentorship of Dr. Ishrat Jabeen has successfully secured the position of a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Department of Medicine at University of Wisconsin Madison USA.
She is a multi-disciplinary researcher with expertise in experimental and computation biology, pharmacoinformatics, bioinformatics and machine learning.
During her PhD she also worked at Victor Chang Cardiac Research institute Sydney, Australia with the world’s renowned scientists. Saba has several international publications in various journals and conferences at her credit. She has served as visiting faculty in International Islamic University Islamabad and COMSATS University Islamabad soon after the completion of her PhD. Saba has worked in collaboration with national as well as international research industry for several years.
It is her perseverance and continuous hard work that has made her pursue a career at world renowned university and department as postdoc. Saba has proved her mettle at NUST by gaining several scholarships and awards including a top-up scholarship from UNSW Australia In addition to her fully funded Ph.D scholarship. Saba has also presented her research work at various international conferences and platforms including Qatar University,( Doha) University of California,(USA) Sydney University, Australia,(USA) Sabanci University Istanbul (Turkey), University of Wisconsin Madison(USA).
She is also awarded with Certificate of Recognition by President of Pakistan on commendable work she has done in Voluntary Services. Recently Saba is also nominated for GLOBAL TALENT AWARD. We wish her all the best for future endeavors.
