In an effort to promote tourism, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced extra flights to the northern areas.
From May 18, two-way flights from Islamabad to Chitral will be included in the operation, and more flights will be added to cater to the northern regions, said a spokesperson for PIA.

The spokesperson further said that PIA will initiate two-way flights from Dubai to Skardu on April 9. These flights will run on Fridays, and return flights to Dubai will be available on Sundays.

The easy and shortest route to Karomber lake is from Chitral side (via Mastuj, Broghil valley). The route is Chitral > Mastuj > Kishmanja > Garhil > Irgit maidan and Lalay Rabat side. This whole route is also called along the wakhan corridor route.
