Basho Valley
Bashu Valley in Skardu. Almost 2 hours’ drive from the main city Skardu and can easily reach on the jeep. The valley offers a pleasant atmosphere even in hot summers. Moreover, because of the vast green plains and stream, the site is considered to be the best for camping, hiking. Sheosar Lake

Shigar Fort
Next on the list is the Shigar Fort in Skardu Valley that is a magnificent piece of architecture in between the immense plains of Shigar. The cold sand of the Shigar desert is a wonder in itself. Moreover, Shigar Fort is the most visited place in Skardu as it’s a piece of history. Shigar Fort builds around 400 years ago, the whole building is made up of stones with strong foundations. Previously, the fort was known as the Palace of Rock and now it is serving a guest house with 20 rooms along with the grand hall that displays the treasure pieces of Baltit Culture.

Satpara Lake
Another stupefying place to visit in Skardu is Satpara Lake that is elevated at 8650 ft. above sea level. The melting ice of the Deosai plains are the main source of water for the lake and the lake spread over 2.5km. There is a fairy-tale picturesque island in the centre of the lake. The turquoise blue water of the lake is so mesmerizing attracts hundreds of tourist where they enjoy boating, fishing and roaring in freshwater. A marvellous place to witness and embrace the beauty of nature.

Shangri-La Lake
The red hut cottages surround the Shangri la Lake also known as the upper Kachura Lake. It is almost at the elevation of 2499m. The lake is a few kilometres away from the lower Kachura Lake and captures tourist because of its prodigious beauty.
