Skardu Airport to receive first international flight on 14th of August, the independence day of Pakistan, according to an information shared by Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan.

This will be the first international flight to land in GB.

Operating an international flight in the region became possible after refueling facilities were made available at the Skardu airport.

The refueling facility will be inaugurated on 11th of August, said the CS.

successfully reaching the summit of Annapurna 8091m. Sajid Ali Sadpara, a Pakistani mountaineer, is renowned for his feats in high altitude mountaineering. He is the son of the late Ali Sadpara, who was also a renowned mountaineer with several successful ascents of peaks above 8,000 meters. Annapurna, the tenth highest peak in the world, is known for its technical difficulties and high fatality rate, making it a challenging climb even for experienced mountaineers.

Note:- Sajid Ali Sadpara has already summited K2 (8,611m), Gasherbrum-I (8,080m) and Gasherbrum-II (8,035m), in Pakistan and Manaslu (8,163m) in Nepal without supplemental oxygen.
