♥️
It is important to know about the city of "Sharda" before knowing about the first-century Sharda University located in the Neelum district of Azad Kashmir. Sharda is a tehsil of Neelum district, Azad Kashmir which is located northwest from Muzaffarabad. Part 136 Located at the banks of the Neelum River at a distance of kilometers. The authentic references available in history books about the identity of this city are about Central Asian tribes who began to come to the valley around 3100 BC. The majority consisted of followers of Buddhism and Hinduism.A dynamic tribe of these tribes called Kushan, when a head announced that he had seen a new goddess in a dream, a new goddess came into practice. The name is "Sharda". Sharda is basically derived from the Sanskrit word "Shardha" which literally means "The Goddess who loves the autumn season". In ancient times, Sharda also had a statue of this Goddess which was known in ancient times. The name "Saraswati Devi" was mentioned. Even today, there is a temple in Sharda which is also called "Sharda Path". The literal meaning of "Path" is the place where a holy being sits. Thus, the city gained fame of the name "Sharda".
Sharda University: Sharda University is located at the foot of 2 mountains Sharda and Nardi. Famous Muslim historian Albaironi covers it in these words about Sharda in his book ''Al Hind''. The city of Sharda is located in the southwest of Srinagar. The people of India call this place extremely. They considered sacred. People from all over India used to come here for pilgrimage on the occasion of Baisakhi. Sharda was the largest educational school in Central Asia during the era of Kanshik I (Prince of Nepal). Where along with the teachings of Buddhism, many others including history, geography, logic and philosophy. Science was taught. The construction of this school building goes to Kanshk I between Sun 24 and 27. One special thing about this school was that it introduced its own separate script. And this script is "Sharda". K was famous by the name itself.
In ancient times, seekers of knowledge from other regions including South Asia, Central Asia and China used to turn here because this university in its era, in addition to religious education, religious education of Sanskrit scholars Kashmiri pundits and Buddhist leaders, in philosophy logic and other sciences. Had a place of her own.
The quality and order of this university in its era can be assessed by this. According to the famous historian, a person named Hema Chandra in a state located within the limits of Gujarat, who was not comparable to his fame in knowledge, grace and intelligence. When the rumors began to spread far and wide, Gujarat's Raja Jia Simha included him in his court to promote knowledge and literature. At one point when the scholar asked the Raja for permission to prepare an encyclopedia covering various topics. Coin granted by Raja. On another occasion when he requested Raja to complete this task he required a few books in 8 ancient languages which can only be available from the library of "Sharda University". So this knowledge-friendly Raja sent a high government delegation to Kashmir's Rajdhani Pre-War. From where the required books were delivered from Sharda to Gujarat. With the help of Hema Chandra created a huge book full of knowledge and literature.
The building of this school, which has now been turned into a ruins, but its construction still surprises the architects with how great the architecture of this era was even centuries ago. The building of Sharda University, whose height is almost as high. The chabutra built in between was 100 feet was a masterpiece of architecture that onlookers could not resist applauding. The massive low stone installed here left the onlookers wondering when technology is not so advanced yet Then how could such heavy stones have been placed on top of each other at a height of 18 to 30 feet? Architects say that this work apparently does not look possible with human power. Certainly, in this era, technology must have been invented to lift them up. The walls around it are decorated with beautiful carvings. The southern side is the entrance door. But the roof has completely suffered from the accidents of the time. However, there are still 63 stairs to enter the building on the west side. The special thing about these stairs was their unique construction, which were created very neatly carved out of stones. Since their The height is a bit high so a strong rope has been fitted along with these stairs to make it easier to climb and down.
There is a tradition about these stairs that the philosopher behind the number 63 stairs had said that for centuries most of the South Asian religions, especially Buddhist tribes, were considered sacred. Even after centuries, in some tribes of Buddhism, they are worshipped by wearing 63 jeweled necklaces to elephants and some tribes even offer prayers to get their wishes on this occasion. An ancient one in this vast building. Traces of the pond have also been found, although it has now been no longer existing, however, according to ancient traditions, people used to come from this pond from far away to get cured from diseases quickly because the water of this pond was 2 kilometers away from the mountains. He used to bring water mixed with sulphur, which used to be very common for early diseases.
According to some and local traditions, a huge statue made of wood named "Shardh" at the foot of the mountains a few far from here used to be popular in the religious beliefs here, and it is said that as soon as you touch the statue, a man dies. The forehead used to get drunk with sweat. Which was thought to be a sign that God has accepted His presence.
Two thousand years ago Asia's largest school Sharda University where thirst for knowledge from all over Asia came to quench.. Famous Indian philosopher Wazir Chanakia and Kalidas were among the students of the same university.

Swat District is centered on the Valley of Swat, usually referred to simply as Swat, which is a natural geographic region surrounding the Swat River. The valley was a major centre of early Buddhism under the ancient kingdom of Gandhara, and was a major centre of Gandharan Buddhism, with pockets of Buddhism persisting in the valley until the 10th century, after which the area became largely Muslim.Until 1969, Swat was part of the Yusafzai State of Swat, a self-governing princely state that was inherited by Pakistan following its independence from British rule. The region was seized by the Tehrik-i-Taliban in late-2007 until Pakistani control was re-established in mid-2009.

The average elevation of Swat is 980 m (3,220 ft),resulting in a considerably cooler and wetter climate compared to the rest of Pakistan. With lush forests, verdant alpine meadows, and snow-capped mountains, Swat is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations.

Though the site of the Lahore Fort has been inhabited for millennia, the first record of a fortified structure at the site was regarding an 11th-century mud-brick fort. The foundations of the modern Lahore Fort date to 1566 during the reign of Emperor Akbar, who bestowed the fort with a syncretic architectural style that featured both Islamic and Hindu motifs.Additions from the Shah Jahan period are characterized by luxurious marble with inlaid Persian floral designs, while the fort's grand and iconic Alamgiri Gate was constructed by the last of the great Mughal Emperors, Aurangzeb, and faces the renowned Badshahi Mosque.

After the fall of the Mughal Empire, Lahore Fort was used as the residence of Emperor Ranjit Singh, founder of the Sikh Empire. The Sikhs made several additions to the fort. It then passed to the control of the East India Company after they annexed Punjab following their victory over the Sikhs at the Battle of Gujrat in February 1849. In 1981, the fort was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its "outstanding repertoire" of Mughal monuments dating from the era when the empire was at its artistic and aesthetic zenith

A major tourist attraction in Pakistan, the mosque is a contemporary and influential piece of Islamic architecture.

Construction of the mosque began in 1976 after a $28 million grant from Saudi King Faisal, whose name the mosque bears. The unconventional design by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay was selected after an international competition. Without a typical dome, the mosque is shaped like a Bedouin tent, surrounded by four 260 feet (79 m) tall minarets. The design features eight-sided shell shaped sloping roofs forming a triangular worship hall which can hold 10,000 worshippers.

Combined the structure covers an area of 33 acres (130,000 m2; 1,400,000 sq ft), the mosque dominates the landscape of Islamabad. It is situated at the north end of Faisal Avenue, putting it at the northernmost end of the city and at the foot of Margalla Hills, the westernmost foothills of the Himalayas. It is located on an elevated area of land against a picturesque backdrop of the national park. Faisal Mosque was the largest mosque in the world from 1986 until 1993 when it was overtaken by the mosques in Saudi Arabia. Faisal Mosque is now the sixth largest mosque in the world in terms of capacity.

3 Thousands Years Old City!
History Shangla, Sngla & Sangla were the names of Sangla Hill in different periods of time….

It is famous due to its Unique name, it is reported in the books of history that Sangla was the sub caste of (Rajpoots) and due to these Sangla Rajpoots it was named Sangla, there is a hill in north-west of city (215 feet high, with Dark Brown Stone color) due to that hill its Modern Name Sangla hill was derived,

Like other Rajpoots Sangla (Rajpoots) were also worriers, so when Alexander The great Attacked Sangla Hill they defend and fight with them, Alexander had to stay there on hill and at last the peace agreement was signed… * (but in some books of History it is also coded that Alexander won the war after many Months and Destroyed the city {Rule of the Company, By: Mr. Bare Eunice})

There is a well built by Greeks near Hill, Shows That The Greeks stayed there more than 6 months..

The Modern Sangla Hill was established in 1896 it was irrigated with canal of Rakh-Branch (RB) the canal was dug in 1892 during colonial rule.

The Rakh Branch originates from canal Lower Chenab. And Lower Chenab comes out from Head Khanki at the river Chenab. It passes and produces tributaries in three districts such as Hafizabad, Nankana Sahib and Faisalabad.

Many famous towns are situated at near the Rakh Branch such as Safdarabad,Sangla Hill, Salarwala, Chak Jhumra, Gutwala, Abdullahpur and Faisalabad.

The canal ends at Samundri. At that time (1896) the Sangla was administrated by Deputy Commissioner GugraWala, and city population contained 1689 persons and Sangla was rewarded with Chack Number 298, in 1900 it was considered as Small Town, it was established with modern sewerage system..

There were two pools for bath also…. At the time of independence in 1947 Sangla was a big market of Food & animals, and every month there was a big exhibition of Animals, the Trade of Animals boosted the Economy of Sangla Hill, but due to lack of interest of Govt. and establishment of Lahore to Faisalabad Rode via Shahkoat that market was shifted to Faisalabad and Lahore…

The Economy became flop, but in 1971 Fauji foundation Sugar Mills was Established which started providing Employment to the Citizens of Sangla hill, now this Mill is named Huda Sugar Mill (pvt limited).

In 2005 Sangla hill was ranked to Tehsil head quarter and sub. Divisional. Courts were established here in 2007... Now Sangla hill is well developed city of region... with the population of 2,00,000.
