Pakistan is home to 12 of the world's top 30 peaks, with five over 8,000 m, 25 over 7,500 and above 100 over 7,000 m. In K2 (8,611 m), Pakistan can boast a mountain second only to Everest in height. The Karakoram chain contains some of the longest glaciers outside of the polar regions, including Siachen(72km), Biafo(62km) and Hispar (61km). Taking of the beaten track and watching polo on the highest polo ground in the world it is one of the world's untamed mountainous wilderness. It is remarkably cheap country to travel. Luxury comes cheap, and cheap comes dirt cheap. So it is treat for yout mother-in-law, not a banishment.
