Few are aware about the history of Aitchison College’s annual Vahali challenge cup. It is named after Sardar Darshan Singh Vahali who belonged to present day Chakwal and was one of the largest landowners in pre-partition Punjab. It was an honour for us to arrange a special journey for the Vahali family to their roots. Mr Thomson, the principal of Aitchison College, was gracious enough to show our guests their ancestors illustrious legacy in Aitchison College.

Lahore’s iconic Wazir Khan Mosque is named after Ilm-Ud-Din Ansari who had the title of Wazir Khan - not to be confused with Wazir Khan of Sirhind. The Wazir Khan Mosque features some of the finest specimens of Indo Persian art and architecture from the seventeenth century. The oral histories of the Walled City of Lahore recall an interesting story of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and his Muslim partner Moraan Sarkar visiting the Mosque. Our guests visit the Wazir Khan Mosque as part of their Sikh Heritage Tours.
