Skardu Airport to receive first ever international flight from Munich, Germany, on May 13th, 2022.
The chartered flight will depart from Skardu for Bishkek on May 16, says a Civilian Aviation Authority notification.

Azerbaijan government has announced an e-visa facility for Pakistani nationals.
“Happy to announce that Azerbaijan is open to brotherly Pakistan. Now e-visa system is applicable to all. Welcome to Azerbaijan!” the ambassador said on Twitter.
The news comes only hours after Pakistan's envoy to Azerbaijan, Bilal Hayee, said the two nations were planning to start direct flights in the near future.
"We hope to be able to resume and launch direct flights between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the next months." This will be a major step forward in bringing the peoples of the two countries closer together," a Pakistani diplomat.

As per reliable sources, the federal cabinet has recently approved Q-Airways (Pvt.) Limited’s issuance for a Regular Public Transport (RPT) license to begin domestic flight operations.
Further, Q-Airways will begin operations with a fleet of three Airbus-320 aircraft from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad in April or May, 2022.
The approval was given at a Cabinet meeting on January 25, and attendees were informed that Q-Airways (Pvt.) Limited had met the license’s requirements and had requested it.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) anticipates Q-Airline to create more job opportunities because it will be Pakistan’s fourth commercial airline. However, depending on the airline’s profitability, it may also operate international routes in the future.

To Imrove Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is likely to receive four A320 on dry lease till May this year to improve the performance of the national flag carrier.
According to sources, the first A-320 will reach Pakistan on 25 February, two aircraft will arrive in March and the last will reach in April or May.
PIA has a total of twelve A320, 6 ATRs, and 12 Boeing 777 aircraft in its fleet. With the arrival of these four, the number of A320 will surge to 16, and the PIA fleet would expand to 34. According to PIA, the addition of new aircraft is part of the PIA business plan, and the new version of including fuel-efficient aircraft to improve services of the national carrier.
PIA is also planning to start flights to Australia, Hong Kong, and the Maldives. According to PIA officials, a plan has been submitted to the Finance Ministry, from where it will be tabled in the Federal Cabinet. According to sources, PIA can start flights for Malé (Capital of Maldives) in April because much homework has been done in this regard. PIA flights to Australia and Hong Kong may take 3 to 4 months more for ex*****on.

PIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arshad Malik said that the national carrier expedited work of the planned direct flights to three countries. He added that PIA has also planned to resume flights to Istanbul and Bangkok.
The PIA CEO said that the concerned aviation authorities were being contacted to resume flights to the United Kingdom (UK), United States (US) and European countries.
Arshad Malik said that European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) informed Pakistani authorities to conduct an audit. He added that the flights to European countries will be resumed after the clearance of the audit.
